I mean it. I come here for a lift of my drooping spirits. 6-8 inches of snow predicted for tonight and tomorrow...but when I come here, I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks everybody!

2. Ouch!
Oh well, you can keep our spirits up when all us early garden people are all dying of the heat in August.

4. Spring is coming...
the Goldfinches are getting their summer colors and the maple is budding.

Too early for planting here yet but working on the plans and found free old, old horse manure (compost) to add to the mushroom soil.

6. I have some solace for you from L.A.!
It's like this every year, people in cold climates itchy for spring when I'm planting BUT.....in July your garden will be so lovely and mine will start wilting, and I'll be counting the days til fall.
Late July & August in the San Fernando valley SUCK!! A couple of years ago we had 5 straight days at 113 degrees and I lost almost everything. All my veggies were like steamed on the ground, LOL! Some came back but they weren't that good after that. This year I'm making some shadecloth contraptions in case that happens again.

SPRING IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER RAVEN! And unfortunately for me...so is summer :(

7. I hope this cheers you up ... I picked my first two toms of this season yesterday.

They were of the Better Bush variety. I planted them back in January. The others are coming along nicely; Better Boy, Rutgers, Roma and Bonnie Original. Hang in there, you won't be far behind.

 :hi:
