Did I wait too late to transplant bulbs? I'm in zone 9-10, it is
getting warmer, and I had an overabundance of orange lillies last year; I can see the plants, but nothing is blooming yet. Any advice would be appreciated!

1. If you dig them right you should be OK.
Dig a BIG root ball around the bulbs. After a rain or watering is best so the soil will stay on the bulb and roots. Have your wholes ready. If you want to separate them do it in the shade and in a cool place if you can. Don't forget to stake and fertilize them. This will help them root better.

3. Are they Day lilies or Asiatic lilies?
If they are the day lilies Hemerocallis(clump formation of leaves with stems of flowers rising with no leaves on the stems)like these Stella D'Oro:

You can move them anytime before flower stems develop. One year I moved some clumps at this time of year and I got tired of planting them so I just dropped them on the ground and forgot about them. This wasn't an experiment but laziness. They grew extremely well and have multiplied greatly.

Asiatic lilies I don't grow so I'm not sure.
