I am an idiot
For the past few days I have been cutting down last year's growth
from a wildflower native grass project I have in Columbus, OH.
It is about 2 acres and on a hill ..... after I cut it down with
a weed whip I have been using a leaf rake to remove the old straw
from the hill ..... very hard and not too good results .... but after 3
hours today I picked up my pitch fork .... you know the tool that has
been around for about 1,000 years to move old straw and plants and
what do you know things got a lot easier.

For those in central Ohio the wildflower prairie is on the grounds
of Riverside Methodist Hospital ...... please take a peak stuff starts
blooming from may to late october.

2. could you get a local firm
that specialises in managing natural areas to burn it for you, as a donation to the hospital? Burning is a lot easier, and while cutting and raking is a decent substitute, prairies like fires.

10. Aw geez, you aren't that much of an idiot. You did it right
in the end. A true idiot would not have come up with that new idea of trying an old tool. Pat yourself on the back for a lesson well learned.

12. Next time, "hire" some goats.
They'll clear the land and you won't have to worry about the leftovers 'cause there won't be any! LOL!
