You write beautifully and I love the heart chakra image. Your summer bucket list was a great idea; I let time fly by sometimes without enough direction or purpose and everything on your list sounded really good.

In the "masthead." Leaves are beautiful and since you're calling it "new leaf," we should see a leaf. :)

Stupid blogspot doesn't let you change much, and the green reminded me of leaves...
the heart chakra image at the bottom was suposed to be the masthead but the layout was just not right...I'll play with it, though :)

You have to do yourself a masthead in Photoshop and then bring it in. You might consider switching to Wordpress. It allows much more flexibility and its open source gives you tons of free gadgets.

A designer who does a lot with Wordpress recently came to my computer programming class and told my students that you literally can get a Wordpress blog up in five minutes, even with running MySQL. I haven't tried it yet but I will soon.

Since you're dabbling in Web design, it might be a good exercise for you!
