Big Dreams
Anyone else have Big Dreams on Friday night/Saturday morning? Many vivid dreams, one in particular, felt like the first lucid dream I had (before I know about lucid dreams). They are life changing. I said to someone in the dream "I'm talking to God." The imagery matched some comments in the Forum of "symptoms" we're all feeling.... and I know fatigue is one of them.

1. Cool!
"I'm talking to God"--that is AWESOME! (And I do NOT use that word lightly!)

No big dreams last night (I dreamed, but minor stuff--I don't remember them), but that's a welcome respite from around the Solstice, when I was bombarded repeatedly for like three nights straight.

Very dizzy today, and even though I slept long enough last night, I feel very sleepy right now.

FUN times, eh? :hi:

2. There are several
threads talking about what we may be feeling/experiencing -- on top of the general weirdness that EVERYONE seemed to go through last week (I just typoed "last seek" :spray: ) -- and this one sure resonated for me today:

I was AMAZED by how detailed your dreams are. And LONG! My dreams last night were pre-lucid, several short ones, very vivid.

3. I started to early this am
I woke up at 1:30 with a lot of anxiety. Got online and made some cocoa to try to quell my fears so I could sleep.

Went back to bed, fell right to sleep and started to have a pretty intense dream. Unfortunately, Luna woke me to go out for an extra-early pee. I tried to go back to sleep and get back into the dream after Luna came back, but he wouldn't come to bed and just kept trotting back and forth. And then Jake joined in, so it just never happened.

I was disappointed because last night I had pulled the archangel Michael, guardian of unconscious and dreams, from my angel oracle when asking again about my job situ. So I felt like maybe this dream was going to contain an answer. The last thing I remember was a man following me around with a proposal...but I didn't know if it was a marriage proposal or a project/job proposal, and now I'll never find out!

And a week ago I started to have what I thought was going to be a big dream, and Jake got restless and woke me up then too.

dreams, similar to yours in that all three involved other people being there in the dreams, with messages, rather than just a solo dream, someone seemed to be there, observing or commenting... All three about relationships: with God, home and lover.

"The last thing I remember was a man following me around with a proposal...but I didn't know if it was a marriage proposal or a project/job proposal, and now I'll never find out!"

One was one of those dreams where we find rooms in our home we didn't know were there.

5. weird dream state
I slipped into some kind of strange dream state while meditating this afternoon. I am not the best meditator on earth (but I don't give up by God) so I could have fallen asleep, but I had had enough caffeine by that point to wake a graveyard. Anyway I was meditating to waterfall recordings on my iPOD when I slipped very deep and suddenly "saw" myself surrounded by about 5 or 6 people. One man approached me as if walking across a room and at one point he looked like an old friend I used to work with but then as he got closer to me my perception of him being a slim African American man (my friend) changed to seeing him as a shadow figure whose features I could no longer make out. He still "felt" like a friend so I didn't fear him when he leaned over to whisper something in my ear. I never heard the whisper because at that moment I ether woke up or came up a level to what I perceive more as regular meditation.

I have had dream-like occurrences when I was trying to meditate before, but am glad to write this one down. I am lazy and usually don't. I sure wish I had heard what he leaned over to tell me.

7. No
He was just a completely dark figure as he got close to me. It seemed at first that I could make out clothing from a distance. No hat though. Funny you mentioned a hat, my friend that I initially mistook this "person" for often does wear a hat.

8. The reason I asked
Edited on Sun Jun-28-09 12:31 PM by omega minimo
Mid 90's I had a dream of a figure so vivid, I drew a picture. It was a very slim, tall, lanky African American man wearing a top hat, seen in silhouette. I did not feel afraid of him. It felt as though there was a presence there, so strong and the image so vivid that I drew it. I wondered -- since he was a shadow -- if he was a representation of the Jungian Shadow. (Drawing below is from the web, not mine. What I saw resembles image further down)

At that time, I worked with a woman who had survived botulism after being in a coma for three months. She described the state of consciousness she was in during those months. How other people who were in the hospital or passing on were present and visible to her -- including in their injured states. It was a bizarre place where people were damaged and warehoused and just THERE, but she didn't describe horror at what she was seeing. A kind of limbo state, it just WAS.

She described a figure there very similar to the one I had seen. Hers also was wearing a top hat.

After your reply, I googled this. I have never researched it before. Guess what?

what are shadow people and why the fedora?

Shadow People – Ghost/spirit like person that looks like a black shadow, but you can not see through it.

Characteristics of a Shadow Person:
• Male-like though gender is not obvious.
• Could be female in nature, but very rare.
• Usually very tall like 7 feet, but can be short.
• Usually seen in a trench coat/cloak, or old fashion type over coat.
• Usually has a big hat:  Example top hat.
• 3-D in shape or opaque.
• No eyes, though occasionally red eyes have been reported but rare.
• Extremely fast almost like lightning speed.
• Usually very silent.
• Seem to have mass.
• Seem to be able to defy common laws of physics (ex: can move through walls).
• Can look spirit like/demonic.

Hat Man, Shadow People

This is similar to what I saw and drew. How strange coincidence that it also resembles classic images of Michael Jackson.

http://from-the-shadows.blogspot.com/2007/10/hat-man.html

The Hat Man

The Hat Man shadow person is a variation of the human-like being described earlier. While the experiences and description of this type of entity closely matches that of the plain shadow person there are noticeable differences. The most notable and obvious being the inclusion of a wide brimmed hat in witness descriptions. The hat worn by this type of shadow person is described variably as a having a brim the width of the creatures shoulders. In most other instances the description of this creature mimics that of the human shaped variety. The Hat Man seems to exhibit a certain degree of curiosity towards the witnesses involved in sighting it or him, whichever the case may be.There have been occasional reports of dread and paralysis associated with this creature, but to a much lesser degree than the black smoke shadow being.

9. Very interesting
I had heard of "shadow people" listening to Coast over the years, but I didn't know one could appear in a dream or meditation. I felt no fear at all, I was between deep meditation and sleep I think.

Fascinating about your friend that was in a coma. My Grandmother spent years fading with Alzheimer's and I have often wondered what her soul might have been up to or been able to experience at the end of that when she was basically comatose in a nursing home.

Lots to think about.

No, I haven't had one of those "big dreams" in a while, but I'm calling one forth and GREATLY look forward to receiving one soon.

They are my greatest forms of guidance.

What a blessing to receive such a dream. Yay for you!!! :)
