While testing my digital recorder to go on a paranormal hunt....

I was just checking it to see if it worked and I asked if anybody was there to which you hear a male voice whisper, "Yeah". I was the only one in the house and neither the TV or radio was on.:hide:

I am going to upload it to my computer tomorrow so I can share it with others. I just have to compare notes and see if anybody else hears what I hear!

Anyway, I plan on taking an extra pair of pants (just in case).:blush:
The investigation is this weekend, and we will be doing a meditation and cleansing beforehand which I was happy to hear.
I promise to surround myself with white light as well.

This is something I have always wanted to do and I am quite excited.

2. Wow. That sounds like an episode of that

ghost hunting show on cable. I think they recorded something that sounded like "I like the one in the hat." Can't think of the name of the show at the moment but think it's on FX? Don't have cable and have just seen this at other people's homes.

If you do post it online, please link it here so we can have a listen? Also interested in hearing about your experiences this weekend. I also wanted to do that too. Very cool and interesting.

Use words such as "paranormal" or "ghost" in your search at meetup.com for groups in your zip code.

I will definitely let you know how it goes.
I have also packed items I dug up from the civil war including some bullets, minnie balls, a piece of lead bearing the image of a coin (most likely the troops were using it to play poker), and an arrowhead of undetermined age I found locally. Those will be in my fannypack.

7. I had a great time!

The property has an old home about 160 years old, some other old bldgs and the family cemetery.
We divided into two groups of about 7 people each to do our investigation. In a couple of the rooms we would hear things in the hall, but nobody was there.
The home is in disrepair so there were obstacles to overcome and bats to dodge. I was happy to be under 5 feet tall!
So far in reviewing the recordings I have found two moans and a man whispering "No". I still have two more tracts to check out and then I will review my pictures once I can upload them to my computer.

The other group heard a doorknob turning in the downstairs hall, but they were in the adjacent parlor.

All in all, it was fun and interesting. My love of history, old houses and the paranormal all rolled into one!

As far as the EVP I recorded in my own home:
I have had my daughter and her boyfriend listen to it and they are as mystified as I am. They both say they can very clearly hear a voice say, "yeah".
I will find a way to upload it soon.
