Has anyone ever gone to a life between lives reading?
I have an appointment scheduled with Linda Gabriel (in L.A.) who was trained in the camp of Michael Newton (Journey of the Souls). I'm just wondering what to expect. Any feedback?

2. Yes. Some people call it "The Place of Preparation," I've heard
it referred to as several things. I'm interested in things like confirming who my soul group is and, of course, I have about a billion other questions. I can't wait...made the appointment for a week from Friday and my best friend is going the next day. We are both in the same place spirituality and in our life's circumstance and we really need some answers. We've tried a lot of things and it seems like we've really been led to this. There's a great book called "Journey of the Souls" by Michael Newton and the lady I'm going to see and was one of his students.

3. This is long but I have to tell it.
:hi: I was regressed by my cousin-in-law who's a clinical psychologist. She also lives within the L.A. area.

Not only was the session elucidating but had an interesting journey to it. There was a terrible condition that I was going through at the time. I finally was ready for an answer and asked the Universe to explain why. Most of my answers come through dreams and I had one of being another person living another life that though was modern time, but definitely int the past. What I had done in that life was so devastating to me that when I woke I couldn't stop crying. My grief/mourning went on for a couple of weeks to the point of asking the Universe for relief.

At that time, I took the bus to work and back home. On the bus home one day, I got the strongest urge to get off early and go into this used bookstore I'd never been before. I was wandering around when I found that it had a 2nd floor filled with science and metaphysics books. There was only one other person up there and it was a woman who had to get off the freeway immediately because of car trouble and was stuck in my town for a few hours.

Not only that but she originally came from the same town in Maryland (about 20 years before me). She even went to the same elementary and high schools my siblings attended. We had a really pleasant conversation about the east and our old home town. It was weird. Then came the crazy sensation to tell this complete stranger about my dream. Of course, I broke down in tears telling it. She was kind and patient with me and said, "It's not about my car. I'm supposed to tell you about "Journey of Souls." She told me that she had gone through the therapy with Newton and is one of the cases in the book! So she says get the book and the Universe will supply the rest of the answers. I was excited and happy for the first time in weeks, still broke down crying but Knew now that was coming to an end.

So around this time, my husband's cousin kept inviting us to her house. She's about 2hours away from us, just outside of L.A. Turns out that not only is she a clinical psychologist but a kindred, spiritually grounded and an intuitive. We hit it off immediately. Of course, during the evening I broke down. My husband annoyed I couldn't control myself and her husband shocked by the turn of events, left us alone. I told her about the dream, reading Newton's book. And that's when she asked if I'd like a session right then and there because she'd had training in the method. What was supposed to be a night of dinner and connecting to family turned into a weekend of exploration.

I've never been able to be hypnotized but this was an amazing experience for me. My vision became foggy and then I started to see and remember, sometimes in detachment and other times, well, not so detached and cousin would talk me down to remember that those events were over. So not only did I go back to That Painful Life but waaay, waaay back to another that was the cause of That Painful Life's decisions! I learned in between lives about the consequences of holding on too tightly to people I love and letting go in mindless anger. Just very sad.

And because my cousin-in-law is an intuitive, she thought it best to regress my husband, as well. (Note: when he and I got together, he always use to speak German in his dreams, he's never been there, never took it as a 2nd language, nor had anyone ever told him about German-sleep talking)

Anyway, she put him under and he spoke of his last significant life as a German farmer. He went through his final day: his elderly wife and daughters was cooking dinner, sons And daughters were wrapping up a day of hard work in the field, and while looking at his big ugly gnarled hands, he simply passed away in a favorite chair. Funny thing about that life is that he said I was the same wife then!

Now, while in a trance, my new cousin told us the conditions were being set by us and events were going to ramp up quickly for me to start clearing up issues from that life and for my husband to work out new and better relations with his kids (he was a divorced dad when we first met).

Within, I'd say three years, our lives completely changed when my husband's ex-wife passed at such a very young age. And when we and the kids moved into together that's when I realized what cousin had been prophesying. So I have been keeping myself in check and finding new ways to deal with a karmic situation that is almost an exact repeat of the dream of so long ago.

I've cried again remembering those two lives, am shivering with emotion thinking about how real all of this is, and very excited for you as you take the next step

4. We had a book read of "Journey of Souls" a few years ago in this group.
That book changed my life more than just about anything else I've ever read.

I had a session with someone who trained with Dr. Newton, and I wasn't able to access that information. However, I think that it was my issue rather than the person conducting the session.

I know other people who have had success.

5. Thank you, Kind of Blue, for your story. Wow! That was some-
thing that obviously was meant to be.

The lady I'm going to has some assignments she wants me to do before I go in. The session last four hours!

Thank you also, I have a Dream, for your input. Hypnosis doesn't work for a lot of folks. Fortunately, I'm able to go under very easily. :hi:

6. Session lasting for hours sounds about right.
:hi: Assignments! That's really going to prepare you for revelations about yourself. I think the hypnosis worked this time because I know and trust the therapist. All other times I've tried were with people I didn't know.
I really, really wish you great success!

7. I have
and it was life-changing.
It made me realize that all my "lifetimes" are going on at one time, like Seth says.
That "other" lifetimes don't necessarily go from 0-70, etc. They may go fromm 6-8, and that's it.
I also experienced meeting my "Mom" and "Dad" and seeing the real them.
I experienced SLIDING DOWN INTO the womb
man, was that great
and there was no doubt about it

enjoy the ride!

I doubt I'm the only one who would like to hear about how it goes.

10. Well, I had my reading and it was a total drag...
First of all, I didn't connect with the reader at all. I did have a past life regression come through but I've had that before and that's not why I went. When she would try to guide me to the Life between Lives I didn't get anything not even a Spirit Guide. My thought is that her Spirit Guides should have come through and the fact that they didn't sucked. I'm bummed on many levels: I REALLY need some answers and I need help to get them, so the disappointment was big; and I paid more than I've ever paid for this kind of thing and it was pricey for my budget. Oh well....that's what happened.

11. Sorry to hear it was disappointing.
Did you learn of a new past life that you didn't know of before?
Maybe that's what you needed to know, not the life between lives part.

12. I hadn't known of this one before. I guess if I analyzed it
(that particular past life), I could get something out of it. Thanks for helping me with another way to look at it.

13. Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you, Lindsey
Sometimes there simply is no connection between the practitioner and the client. :( I'm also sorry you had to pay; my former elder is a really good psychic, but on the rare occasions that she couldn't connect with the person who had come to her for a reading, she always gave the money back.

I'd recommend trying again, perhaps with someone who is still a student but has had enough training to guide you safely. They would value the experience and they might not charge much (or possibly not charge at all).

14. Thanks Morning Glow, that's a good idea. I think I realize that
sometimes people don't connect. She happily took my money. Maybe I should keep an ear open for someone in training who really has the gift. I just don't think this lady did.

15. Sorry it didn't work out for you :( Do you have any metaphysical bookstores or fairs in your area
that offer inexpensive mini-readings so you can try out a psychic before paying $$$ for a full session? Or maybe a class to help you connect with your inner knowing? Wish I could help :(

One of these days I am going to do a between life regression. The person I have done past life regressions with is very good but the last time I brought it up she said she felt I wasn't ready to know so didn't try.

18. I've wanted to do this kind of work for ages. anyone know how to find a good practitioner?
Dr Micheal Newton's books make so much sense to me. There's another book called Courageous Souls (can't remember author's name), that resonates for me. One of the cases in that book even mentions someone whom my hunny probably knew, years ago! Weird!

19. I have long wanted to do
a past lives or between lives reading, and I read the Michael Newton books years ago, probably around the time they first came out. They make so much sense to me, that my understanding of lots of things has been transformed.

There are two main reasons I haven't actively pursued the readings. First is that I'm not sure I'm entirely ready for them, meaning maybe there's stuff I shouldn't be finding out. The other is that I have no way to evaluate someone who claims to be able to do this. I suppose we could has for references, but I would feel extremely ripped off and angry if nothing at all came through and I was still expected to pay.

I'm currently in Santa Fe, NM, just in case anyone here knows of a good practitioner.

20. I'm disappointed that your session
did not work out. As I said in my previous post, hypnosis never worked for me until it was conducted by someone who I connected with immediately and trust. I wouldn't give up trying on your own because I think most, if not all of our answers come from within. So many times, just preparing myself to face the answers are all it takes for the dreams supplying them or synchronicity takes me on the path to them.

I have an autistic sister who was recently having problems with a new therapist. This new gal kept insisting that my sister not talk about her autism at all :wtf: I mean there was no connection whatsoever. So I advised her to think about the kind of therapist she would like to have, in as minute detail as possible and then let the wish go. She just got a good one now.

I'm just saying that I wouldn't give up on trying again, knowing what you don't want and focusing on the kind of counselor you want, and ask that it comes for free or damn near. But in the meantime, I know the answers or the way to them are within you

21. Sorry to hear your session didn't go so well.
Are there any other students of Michael Newton in LA or even another city that you could travel to (San Diego? San Francisco?)

I've been looking into having a session for more than a year now, but it seems that just when I scrape up the funding to pay for it, something happens more or less requiring me to direct that resource elsewhere. I can only conclude that perhaps it's just not time for me to do it yet. There are some issues in my life that I have recently come to better understand, and I think my going through this might serve to put them into some sort of larger frame or perspective.
