Don't you just love ridiculously accurate astrology forecasts?
Especially when it's a general one, not tailored specifically for you? (Kind of like what Blue_Roses was talking about when trying to talk with her friend, I believe.)

I went to AstrologyZone.com today to check out what's up for me in May. Susan is good with general forecasts for a whole sign, and she's been dead-right for me lots of times. I read the first paragraph and burst out laughing:

"Your home has been on your mind, and you've been meaning to make it more reflective of you, but you've been wondering when you'd have the time to divert attention away from your career to make the changes you need to make. Now the chance arrives."

Our house is a WRECK. It's been "under renovation" for three and a half friggin' years, and I have been fed up to the teeth waiting for Mr. MG to finish all the projects he started. (He's good at destruction, but lousy at construction--although he's good at carpentry, drywall, electrical work, and plumbing, to him construction is nowhere near as fun as DEstruction, so he puts it off...and off...and off...) Plus the yard is a miserable sight, as last fall we had a lot of bushes and a tree taken down, plus we took down the "wreck of a deck", leaving nothing but rocky, bare earth and bits of wood where it had been standing.

I haven't even had time to call landscapers and contractors to come by for estimates to do the work we don't have time for, because my writing jobs have been piling up. So...Susan did a darn good job--she nailed it, for me, at least!

Hee--I'm going to go read what else she has to say. Apparently this month's forecast will apply to me very well! :hi:

1. Were you looking at your sun sign, MG?

If so, mine is Capricorn also, and it really applies to me as well. :)

Good job, Susan.

2. Yeppers! Cappie.
Even better--because of Merc retrograde, Susan says contractors should have been hired in April; if not, do research while Merc is retrograde (for practically the whole month of May!), but don't actually hire someone/start a project till June. This works perfectly for me as well--I've started making phone calls to get estimates, but the money I need to pay these guys won't arrive in my pocket till June at the earliest. Definitely !

3. Sure hope she works for me; down in the dumps here.
BUT:

Watch what happens in the days that quickly follow May 16, for you should see some signs that the tide is turning in your favor. Because Saturn is in your house of "other people's money," you will find bankers, partners, credit card companies, the tax man, investors, insurance companies, and others who may owe you money or from whom you need to get money to be more amenable to your point of view. If you are in the process of a divorce, it will become easier to reach a settlement.

5. She was incredibly accurate for me one month...
My horospope said that at the beginning of the month I would find out "the truth about something I had no idea about but would be glad to know finally" and at the end of the month an even "bigger revelation related to the first" would come to light. Both were just shattering but right on. Even to the days mentioned. I had one bookeeper/admin asst who quit on the first day and at the end of the month, found out that another employee had been stealing from the company. Wouldn't have found out the one if the first hadn't happened. And though I was given the heads up by Susan at Azone, I was absolutely floored just the same. In fact, it still makes me shudder how difficult that month was. These were two people I trusted implicitly.

6. She was dead-on for me in March/April, too ...
.... I'm just hoping she bats 1000 for May, 'cause that means a new job with a significant easing of financial stressors ... which I desperately need.

7. Yes indeedy, twin!
I totally cleaned out the garage, clostets and started the moving of the winter crap and getting ready for the summer shit...this weekend.
It has officially begun!

I have been waiting for the weather to get warm enough to get my gardeneng seriously started, and get my workshop up & running in the garage so I can be creative (I make staves & wands) and I want my house to be THE place for summer backyard BBQs with friends from church and circle, drumming and kids playing, etc...and also a new love interest (which Susan says this coming weekend could be good for)...so alot of coming ut of the home shell
- and yet planning to move forwrd but not taking steps in career. I hope to add another client or at least start doing regular work for one I have added recently, but haven't moved on the project yet...

Susan Miller has usually beeen really right on. I just wish my personal life reflected little "trips" and parties, etc...no meetings or parties here, 'cept Girl Scouts! lol

say a prayer for the new heartthob ;) he's a Cancer and we are more alike than different! He's got wolf and raven totems too!

8. Yeah LOL what's up with all the travel predictions?
I don't take nearly as many trips as Susan talks about--all those "weekend getaways" and shit--wazzup with those?!

Ah well I suppose there are more Cappies out there who DO travel...

And oooooohhh a new heartthrob, eh? Cool! My first Very Serious Boyfriend was a Cancer and we got along great. (Until we didn't! J/K--we were young, we grew apart, blah blah. But Cappie and Cancer can work. :) )

Sounds like you kicked butt this weekend! Me too--I was a machine! I raked the front lawn and part of the side, as well as the apron (blisters! owwie!), cleared out the winter crud that had been under the woodpile in the side driveway, filled two plastic totes with wood pieces (we can use it as kindling next year), rolled all the trunk chunks of the tree we had taken down last summer into the side driveway (Mr. MG "was gonna" split the pieces--but instead he left them on the grass and killed the lawn), etc. etc. etc.! Then I vacuumed the inside of my Jeep, cleaned "little fingerprints" off the windows, and shampooed the mats.

Today I made a brazillion phone calls to contractors for work both inside and out, and one guy already came by to look at our mess. He seemed decent, cross fingers. Plus I talked with our neighbor who was having some work done over the weekend and asked if his guys could help us out with the inside work. So we may have some contractors with a decent track record (we trust our neighbors and their contractor choices). Yay!

when I had the $ she suggests I may get 'soon!' Fingers crossed!

13. Yup, handy.
Have been living frugally (she said modestly) last 3+ years, due to estrangement, and hoping for 'back pay' (payback?)

My bf in Austin is Capricorn. At the beginning of April they had a plumbing emergency, flooded a lot of the house. The city had to resolve the outside pipes.

They DID hire the contractors in April, so that's a good thing because they started demolition today. HOWEVER, the first person to show up failed to put a filter on the power vac, and ended up blowing mice feces and whatever else was behind the walls all over their clothes, jewelry, make-up in that part of the house! Now they can't run the air conditioner. It's predicted to be 93 there tomorrow.

I talked to her earlier today, and she and hubby are on the brink, so it's good to hear that if they don't make it at least she'll get a good settlement! :sarcasm: Her contractor told her that on one of his jobs that very thing did happen. The couple halted the renovations and filed for divorce! Take precautions when you head down that road. They still don't have final figures from the adjuster, so may have to 'pause' the demolition. But according to the other post above, it sounds like that will clear up no later than 5/16. Their marriage will probably be saved because she will stay with family members while he (Scorpio) takes a road trip :D

I'm going to pass this along to her.

eta: About Susan .. Almost three years ago, I read something for my estranged boyfriend's sun sign. I emailed it to him even though we weren't in regular contact. She had written something about keeping your face free from injury. Extra caution, protective... A couple of weeks later he called me out of the blue. He wanted to know if I had put a 'hex' on him :eyes: He doesn't believe in astrology, but had been working at a client's house, and their dog jumped up and bit him on the lower lip. He had to have stitches. It was quite satisfying to tell him it was his HOROSCOPE!

12. Good grief!
I had no idea that hiring contractors could cause such chaos! (I wonder if that particular contractor needs a smudging...!) Mr. MG is pretty pissed off that I'm calling around to get estimates for both the landscape design/lawn rejuvenation and the house renovations--he keeps insisting he can handle it...including the lawn, which he has never even looked at till now (I have been keeping it up on my own, including the vegetable garden). He's wrong, of course--his full-time job bleeds into evenings and weekends, plus he has his freelance job to take up any slack time. We've gone round and round about this before and I have been pretty effective at proving he doesn't really have the time to do any of this work on the yard or house. Sigh. It's a pride thing with him--he just doesn't want to pay anyone money for something he COULD do himself. He's backing down today though, so for now divorce has been tabled.

Yikers about your estranged boyfriend! What is UP with people automatically jumping to the "hexing" conclusion when a bit of prescience is displayed? Good thing you could show it had nothing to "do" with you!

14. I found
that the best way to motivate the man of the house to do fix it jobs was to state your intention of hiring someone to do it! In your case, if he doesn't have TIME, that's a totally different situation.

Yeah. I guess he thought because I warned him that I had something to do with it. He didn't have a very accurate view of me in a lot of ways.
