3. Talk about vibes. Caught one of Santana's

vibes a few years ago. My husband and were walking along the harbor one night and started hearing music. We were like, that sounds live but whoever it is, he sure plays like Santana. Lo and behold, he was holding an impromptu concert and we were there! Good God, it was a religious experience under the stars, surrounded by water in a heady flow of peace for about an hour. I'll never forget it.
Nor will I ever forget hearing the album Abraxas and seeing the cover as a kid and thinking I want to draw like that. First time art and music came together for me and it's never stopped. Thanks, Carlos.

It's my husband's who stole it from his older brother, but I keep it :)
Oh, yeah, Annunciation by Mati Klarwein. I can never be that good but I try. Frequent his site for inspiration http://www.matiklarweinart.com/ I think he has since passed but his daughter keeps the site up and running. The cover of Miles Davis' Bitches Brew is also a Klarwein - once again art and music, Ahhhh.

8. OM, you won't believe this.

I just got home so late tonight. Turned on the television to PBS and guess who Tavis Smiley is interviewing? Yeah, Carlos Santana. What is up with this synchronicity? Right now he's talking about the power of music, his gift, of course, giving kudos to Barack Obama, spiritual confidence even if he loses his fingers, and his show at the Hard Rock. He's so fracking cool and funny. I got to get back to listening :) Nice way to end a long day, or I guess start a new one.
