What Day of the Week were you born?
Edited on Fri Oct-17-08 10:29 PM by votesomemore
And do you think the corollary planet holds special meaning for you?

Monday Moon
Tuesday Mars
Wednesday Mercury
Thursday Jupiter
Friday Venus
Saturday Saturn
Sunday Sun

Here's one site that describes the actions of the planets. There are many others.
http://www.myastrologybook.com/10-planets-of-astrology-book.htm

I was born on Wednesday.

1. Friday
Now, Venus, I could dig that. I have no idea what that means for me or what influence it is but it's got to be better than 'full of woe' as Friday's child is supposed to be otherwise.

The site I linked has lots of info, so now I'll read Venus too!

13. I thought that Friday's child was "loving and giving".
Here's the poem that I know:

MONDAY'S CHILD IS FAIR OF FACE
by Mother Goose

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.

http://www.bethanyroberts.com/MondaysChildIsFairofFace.htm

This site has the following interpretation of the days:

Just for fun...
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY MEAN?

MONDAY:
Monday's child is fair of face.
You are good-looking, especially when you smile!
You are beautiful inside and out.

TUESDAY:
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
You have many talents, and are fun to be around.
You dance through life!

WEDNESDAY:
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
You are a serious person, and try to change things that seem unfair.
You make the world a better place!

THURSDAY:
Thursday's child has far to go.
You have many ideas, and you want to do them all.
You will go far in life!

FRIDAY:
Friday's child is loving and giving.
You are caring and sharing. You are kind,
you love people, and people love you!

SATURDAY:
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
You are ambitious, enjoy work, and like to accomplish things.
You know what you want!

SUNDAY:
But the child born on the Sabbath day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.
You are sunny, fun, and loving.
You bring much joy to other people!

Maybe there are other interpretations of the days floating around...

used to call me the "voice of reason". Blew me over. I am more rational than people expect, but was never understood that way in my early life.

I guess we can observe something from all the planets in our self make-up.

8. Monday. Like my mother and my sister.

And yes, the moon has special relevance for me. Moon = strong emotions, moodiness, women and mother figures/mothering/opinions on women, mothers, etc. I'm very feminist. A little nutty ("lunatic"). Better at night (when the moon is out, natch). Intuitive. Obsessed with things hidden.

Works hard for a living. Living up to that meme. And, have to say, Saturn has been the bringer of many lessons.

10. Me too
After being unemployed for a while now, I don't think I would mind working hard again. Maybe that is one of the lessons I'm supposed to get.

And the description for Venus works for me. My son was born on Monday, though, and I'm not seeing that Moon description in him. Now I'll have to check out some others in the fam!

12. Following up after check some others in my family out
Mom's Jupiter, Dad's Moon, Hubby's Sun. I can certainly see more of the moon description in my dad than my son. The others don't apply too well unless it's not about having those aspects, but having ISSUES with those aspects. Now that I can see, my mom is a depression baby with abundance/extravagence issues and my husband is a child of the 60s with real authority/father figure issues. Hmm.

Food for thought.

15. Here's a calculator to determine what day you were born.
It's towards the middle of the page:

http://www.bethanyroberts.com/MondaysChildIsFairofFace.htm

(I couldn't find a calculator on the original site, so please forgive me if I missed it.)

I am also Sunday's Child, MG. Dunno what it says about us, but we share it.

I checked to make sure with the calculator here--

I never felt particularly graceful. Athletic, yes. Graceful, nah. I don't think I have ever been called graceful.

21. Moonday
another loony LOL.

My SO was also born on Monday and is also Sag/Scorp, so that works out. We always know what the other is thinking (even if we don't like what the other is thinking).

I was born on the day of a vicious snowstorm paralyzing the Southeast. My mom had to drive herself to the hospital. It's been a harrowing ride ever since. I strongly identify with my mother and we both have moon in Aries (tho she's Libra).

And yes, I am ruled by the sun.

Edited to add:

I looked up my family members to see how well it "fit;" when I looked up my oldest son (he just turned 31,) I was suprised to see Saturn. It explicitly describes my mother. So I looked up the day she was born; she's Saturn, as well.

My younger son showed up as Jupiter. I don't really see that. His son is also Jupiter. He's a little young to tell, but some of it fits if "opposition to" counts, lol.

Since I'm also a Virgo with Mercury in Virgo, that's a *lot* of Mercury there.
