1. Looks like that happened yesterday

The passengers (five US generals) in the plane were questioned, it was supposedly determined that they flew over Iran airspace accidentally, and the plane was sent on it's way.

I suspect the plan was that if this happened yesterday, that somebody would have "struck out" in "retaliation" today. Glad it was defused.

6. I think it the October 7 thing is probably the economy, stock market, etc.

The Dow Jones is down another 500 points today! Most everyone with a 401k is going to be pretty ticked off by election day, I would think. There is severe economic turmoil out there. Bank of America is down 25% just today, and Morgan Stanley, too. Banks aren't doing business with other banks because they don't trust them. JP Morgan is calling for Merrill Lynch to put up and additional five billion dollars worth of collateral. I realize that this is not the economy forum, but I do think that the October 7 prediction is probably related to all this. It would be nice if the October 7 marks the worst of it.

7. I'd rather that were the case

Any military activity, no matter how jury rigged, would allow McCain to come out swinging. (Although I still can't figure out how crashing a bunch of planes and then spending five years in the Hanoi Hilton, not to mention his hair-trigger temper, makes him the better candidate on national security.)

Yes, here's hoping this is the worst of it--but aren't we supposed to tussle with this through February?--I just got our mutual funds quarterly statement. :scared: We didn't have much to begin with (once we hit retirement, the money would last about three months), and now we have about 25 percent less. I'm glad we're only in our 40s. We can leave it for a good long time and hope it'll turn around in the next couple of decades.

8. I think this is the beginning of the collapse of our economy

We will probably be in a state of confusion and panic over several months. That's what we've been hearing for a long time now. The system in place is flawed and had to come crashing down sooner or later. Out of it, a new system will be born. According to the Mayan calendar, it's crashing down right on schedule. Everything is happening in divine order as long as we continue to be conscious of that fact and not get caught up in the fear it will generate. I sincerely believe that most of us agreed to be here at this time to be the foundation and calm in the storm for people during this time of chaos that we are entering.

Personally, I just need to come to terms and really understand what's happening before I can be someone else's anchor.

9. Agree with all your points, Lefty

Interestingly, I find myself quite calm in all of this--maybe because we have no money to lose! :crazy: I do worry about others who are...well...worrying, but I know this is not the end of it all, just a change (Shift!) to something new. How well we go with the flow will determine our level of calmness as this all goes down.

11. A lot of people are out of money

I wonder sometimes if money is a good part of the "old" Karen talks about that we need not to cling to because it's all about to become worthless and could pull us under.

I hope things stay calm for you MG and go smoothly. I can easily see you as a solid anchor for many.

10. I'm relieved no calamity happened today

I tend to get way too wound up about these predictions- I get very anxious.

Course, I DID have a car accident today- a girl plowed into the side of my car as I was attempting to turn into a gardening place to buy some mums for my porch. Luckily no one was hurt, but I'm all upset. I'd rather have that than a nuclear attack, though. :D:
