Has anyone here tried capsaicin (pepper) for sinus problems?
Or used a product called Sinus Buster to relieve sinus/allergy/headache symptoms? All I find are commercial sites, no real information.

1. Try the homeopathic combination remedies for sinus
Chew up the pills in an empty mouth well away from food on either side (30 minutes).

Also try staying away from dairy and wheat. They both often can cause congestion. That would be worth a 7 to 10 day experiment if you haven't already.

2. The Homeopathic remedy Hepar Sulfaris
works like a charm for me whenever I have had bad sinus headaches.

Within 30 minutes I feel great relief.

3. Lukewarm salt water
Pour a bit in one nostril with your head sideways so it will flow into the sinus, then let it run out. Repeat for other side of face.

I just tried this this past spring and it helped more than I expected.

10. I've just started using salt water also
and it really works. I took a nose spray bottle and emptied it, rinsed really well and filled with the salt water. Then just spray in each nostril.

5. I use a sinus spray called
Xlear.

It's a sinus spray that contains xylitol. It's helped my allergies this year significantly - my use of pseudoephidrine is markedly lower than it was last year. I was a sudafed-head, but now I use this spray once or twice a day and I've had no infections. I usually have at leat one infection per season.

6. I haven't tried it for sinus, but it works great for acid reflux
better than losec. I have some drops that I put in with water and lemon juice. Or I just swallow a cayenne capsule with lots of water.

8. I noticed a big change at 40...
and now 50 is coming upon me this year. Scary.

Be sure and drink lots of water for your acid reflux. I read somewhere that dehydration is a huge aggravating factor in the condition. So now whenever I have it I down a huge glass of water with some of the pepper and find that helps more than losec. I only take losec now if I can't get rid of it with the water cure, and have gone from 2 losec a day to one or 2 a week.

9. I am allergic to Sinus Medicines

But I now use the SINUS RINSE(comes in a box with packets of mixture that is OK for even children to use.) It seems to help me a lot.

I also use the $2 bottles of something like Ocean Spray.
And, I now go to get allergy shots. I had always resisted it but it appears to me that I don't have the symptoms of sinus problems like I used to have.

I pray every night that I won't need yet another Sinus Laser Surgery.

My Dr. said that I am doing much better - he is shocked that I am doing so well without the Singular/Astilin that was giving me muscle cramps/tinkling etc.

I find it ironic that Dr's don't want to believe that the drugs that they prescribe can give you the side effects that are clearly indicated in the PDR.

i bought the stuff after reading all the hype on the website. i think that's the only place you'll find hype about it, btw. I get desparate sinus headaches sometimes and really hoped 'sinus busters' would do what it said, but apart from a sort of wasabi like rush, it didn't do squat.

it's a fun party gag though, if you have friends like mine ;-)

on edit - ps. i've noticed that what seems to help me get rid of sinus headaches best, is to drink *a lot* of water.
