Having trouble negotiating the transition.....
.....or whatever it is that's going on in the cosmos right now. I've been doing okay the past couple of years - making not enough money, surviving paycheck to paycheck, blah blah blah - but doing something I loved, knowing I was making a difference in people's lives and keeping a happy, optimistic outlook. Now I'm having trouble even getting out of bed in the morning, all the minutiae and worry seems to be crashing all around me all day long. I'm not even enjoying my job so much. How the heck long is all this transformation business going to take?

1. I feel your pain. I keep hearing things on the news and through the
internet that have never been said before or done before...and don't make sense.

Palin refuses to obey the law about Troopergate along with her husband.
palin refuses to talk with the press
McCain is going to postpone? the debate...
Will there be a debate????

Will Bush leave the presidency?

Is there something behind the scenes that we don't see?

What is going on in Iraq where all of our innocent men and women are being pawns for this menace in the White House.

Who do these freakin' people THINK THEY ARE?

I feel like there is something else that is going to hit and hit very hard.

Something does NOT feel right.

2. whoa, whoa, hold it there, folks
Who hasn't been surviving paycheck to paycheck? Isn't that the way of the world? You were doing something you loved. Kudos to you! Many of us survive paycheck to paycheck without even that compensation.

Now it's not feeling as good as it did. I sympathize. I do. And your options are to wait it out or to find something new.

As much as I love this site, I do not think the cosmos provide the answer to every dilemma. Yes, your energy may be less now because of what is going on, but it doesn't mean you get to abdicate responsibility. It's okay to have less energy, but it's not okay to say "because I have less energy, I'm not going to try and move forward."

3. the rest of your life
don't wear yourself out on this thing. You will live as long as you do. Take a moment here and there every day just to be in the moment. Breathe. Look at the sky, find a flower or a tree or something from the earth. Know you are but a strand in the web of life and you do not need to carry the weight.

As my dearest aunt used to tell me:
Life is too mysterious to take it so serious

4. It will pass
And you will know it when it happens.
Until then stay grounded and keep doing what has gotten you this far.

5. One thing that I tell myself when I find I'm becoming overwhelmed
by all this constant turmoil & the solution that makes no sense, is that TPTB, the ones that have created this series of crises from the imminent WMD danger in Iraq, and now Wall St. fun and games for the corporate & pResidential plantation owners...is that they absolutely want all of us to live in fear. Don't give them that, they are powerless without it. Don't feed the monster.

Live your life with greater joy, even find it in the smallest things. If you love your work, do it with exuberance. Whatever you enjoy, fill your day with making everything you can more special. It's no crime to turn off the TV or the PC too...sometimes just stepping away from techonology can make a world of difference. When was the last time you were outside enjoying nature? Do something special for yourself, even if it's making yourself a latte or a cup of tea, just enjoy something simple.

The only date I can give you, is that come November 13th the Fifth Night of the Mayan calendar is over. It has certainly lived up to its reputation IMO, and it's not quite over yet, so maybe we are in for more on this bumpy road. Stay strong and don't give them fear, replace fear and dread with JOY & LOVE. It may be the best thing we all can do at this time. Envision the time to come, a renaissance of respect for the planet, our world and each other, honoring life once more.

6. I gotta agree with you, the media has everyone whipped into
a state of hysteria. There are moments when I've had to get off the computer & DU, and not watch ANY news. This is not to ignore what is happening, but to protect myself from the toxic energy running amok. :hi:

7. Even old hands at this stuff have tough times
A friend of mine who has been into this stuff longer than I have been alive still hits snags and life sucks big time for a while. Hang in there!!! This too shall pass!!! Don't beat yourself for feeling down up adding to your troubles. All any of us can do is the best that we can and try to take things one step at time. Try to figure out if there is anything that helps with your troubles whether it is taking a b vitamin in the morning or yoga or something else. Do you have an energy practice that may help clear your energy if you are picking up others stress as well as coping with your own? If not you might find grounding and reinforcing your aura's resistance to bad vibes helpful.

PS remember to breathe. A lot of people, me included, when stressed do not breath enough which exacerbates stress even if the body intends to try to numb out. I just caught myself shallow breathing just now which makes part of me feel like I am being smothered even if I am doing it to myself!
