Please vote in my poll in the lounge
This was a very daring poll for me.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x8095275

I am not ordinarily a lounge poster. I guess BlueIris inspired me. This poll is mostly more appropriate for the lounge than here, but it is somewhat related to ASAH.

2. Mirror writing.
I think that may have applications that haven't occurred to you yet.

4. Like what, for instance?
Do you know of something or was this a thought that popped into your head? That thought has popped into my head too, but I don't really have any idea what to do with this skill of mine except to use it as a party trick when the conversation lags. Oh, I wrote an entire letter to my kid at summer camp once and it was a big hit with the people in her cabin.

I found some YouTubes of people doing various things with writing. I am pretty sure I could write the same thing with both hands at once, one going right to left (mirror writing), and one left to right (regular writing). It would most likely be my right hand doing the mirror writing, even though I am right handed, if that makes sense.

I can't write upside down. But I haven't practiced. Maybe I could if I practiced.

6. you could write the same thing with both hands?
THAT's pretty unusual too. I can't write anything with my left hand. I can barely hold a pencil with it. I am hopelessly right-handed. And yet there's a ton of left-handedness in my family: brother, aunt, son and all three nephews!

PA I voted in your poll, and chicagoexpat is a jerk.

7. yeah, mostly ambidextrous
But I just tried it. I need to practice, but I can do that. It is easier for me to mirror write in my right hand than regular in my left hand, though. But for some reason it makes sense to my body and/or mind to move my hands in mirrored image of each other.

Guess what though. Someone told me that his math professor in college wrote DIFFERENT things in each hand while putting math equations up on the board. WHO COULD DO THAT???? Talk about confusing!!

Thanks for voting. I expected snarky answers especially after BlueIris said she got snarky answers. It is one reason I don't post in the lounge much at all. But I was really curious to find out what people considered odd or surprising, because these things are sort of second nature to me. If people could see some of the things I can do with my left hand they might vote for being double jointed.

But, mirrors absolutely fascinate me!!

I was told I had to come up with something surprising about myself for my introduction for a talk/demonstration I am doing for a study club that I belong to. I thought long and hard about it and these were the things that I finally came up with. Everyone here has surprising things about themselves, but they just haven't had to think about it.

8. I knew you would ask.
I had forgotten about Da Vinci. Maybe great art? I really don't know. Something magical.

It was a much better situation than the one I refused to go to, believe it or not! Basically I started school in second grade and just had to catch up.

14. No, I found this kitty in a Google image search.
I keep my skinny black cat to remind myself always that there are those living without enough (cats and their people.)

I usually look for a fat or happy cat for my sig line to remind myself of what I'm working to get for us all.

This kitty looked too happy for words. He made me smile.

10. Done!
Double jointed left hand? Now that is really fascinating!

I'm glad that you, like me, use a pendulum.

Don't worry what some say there in the comments section. Kindly realize that it reflects on themselves, not on you.

12. thank you
It's not as if I wasn't expecting it. But I truly had a purpose in taking this poll. Anyway, thanks to all my friends here that voted, and kept things from getting too crazy.

Everyone here is so sweet.
