Freaky,scary IChing reading

I have been getting some strange answers from the IChing lately so I asked what the unifying theme is in regards to my questions.
What came back was this-You are living next to a lord of the darkness and you are on to his secret.Exercise caution in all affairs.

Any advise on how to deal with this other than being cautious?

The usual everyday stuff dealing with everyday affairs.
And most questions had answers that I already knew and I was just checking to be sure.
The unifying theme question just popped into my head out of left field,though.Seeing how it did I thought it seemed like I had better go ahead ask.

Sometimes when I do that with the tarot, I get what I call the 'shut up' cards, lol.

I was taught not to do that.Also not to ask frivolous questions.
I was also taught to not throw for others as it may actually give answers to questions percolating in the back of my mind.

I didn't know if that meant you were repeating questions.

8. I am not sure

I am aware that answers are almost always presented as metaphors and I take that into account.Its the directness of this one that I found to be unusual.
That said,there is also this to consider-I live in area that has a LOT of people familar with the subtle energies.And I have heard more than one of my nieghbors speaking of feeling a dark undercurrent at work as of late.
There are also some other factors that I am reluctant to post about that hint at this being more than a metaphor.
The things I am seeing,the things I am hearing and,most importantly,the things I have been sensing lately makes me think that I should take this one literally.
