8. Does anyone have any abundance or related affirmations you can share?
Here are a few I have used at times:

I have money to spare and money to share

I am gratefully constantly receiving gifts from the Universe/Higher Power

I release anything that inhibits abundance and prosperity in my life

I release all vows and agreements from this and any other lifetime that inhibit prosperity in my life.

I accept that I am worthy of abundance

Everything that I need comes to me at the right time in the right way.

10. Results for me so far - Free Wingback Armchair
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 11:47 PM by Shallah
On the way home from visiting my stepGrandad w/my Mother we drove past a nice wingback armchair someone had put at the end of their driveway. My Mother couldn't believe it would be any good and swore she saw a stain but turned back when I asked. Other than a spring sticking out the bottom which I didn't notice until I turned it upside down I couldn't understand why anyone would want to be rid of it. No funky odors, stains and only lightly worn. While I was debating whether to ask if the homeowner really wanted to give it away a woman came out of the house and told me to take it away so I did! :bounce: The sprung spring did not effect the firmness of the seat and it is only lightly worn with a few tiny balding spots in the nap of the fabric that I didn't notice until I was going over it with the vaccuum. Mr. Ron kitty immediately claimed the chair the moment after I brought it in and turned my back to shut the door :) My doubting Mother finally conceded that it was a nice chair and she came up with a plan to get the spring back into place :bounce:

My Mother and I have a need for more living room seating ever since she got rid of her old battered tattered way too close to the ground couch some years ago. I have argued against getting another couch as it is hard to find one within our budget plus it is hard to get one high enough off the floor to not aggravate the body of anyone with knee, back or general mobility issues like many of our relatives have including me. Why buy something that we would never sit on as even though she doesn't have back issues my Mom by preference takes an armchair/recliner or rocker anyway? After thinking about my arguments she finally agreed it would be best to be on the lookout for some chairs at the goodwill or yardsale but this is even better as it was FREE! :bounce:

Thank you all for helping me manifest my lovely new comfy yet back supporting chair!

BTW I had to gently brush a Daddy Long Legs off the chair before putting it in the vehicle and spider phobic me did this with my bare hand! That is how much I wanted this chair. I love old styled furniture like this :)

11. Good for you!
I have a wing back chair that I got from an auction in the 80's from a distant aunt's estate. I got an entire living room set, but this is all I have left. ALL the cats have L.O.V.E.D. it. It is scratched up, and I don't even care. It's their chair. It's pretty comfy for people too. It does need recovering again. Some day.

For furniture, what about IKEA? Do you like their stuff at all? Good sofas are hard to find.
Papa-san chairs are fun too. I saw one at the Salvation Army store that had a nice little ottoman too. craigslist is good. I know someone who has furnished her entire apartment with free things from craigslist.

12. Thanks!
My nana has a wingback that I believe is an antique but this one is not so. All the same it is a nice chair and while I would prefer my furkids to not use it as a scratching post I won't die if it gets damaged. I wish I knew how to sew so I could make a slipcover for mine so it would be a more interesting color than pale blue. My Grandmother is wonderful at sewing but the last time she offered to resew a ripped seam I had to wait a couple of years and she has no patience for teaching. She expects everyone to pick things instantly like she does. Maybe one of these days the adult ed will give a basic sewing class that I can take once I manifest my own sewing machine ;)

re:Ikea I don't even think they are in my state. So far in my months of browsing thrift stores no chairs or couches were in good shape that hadn't already been sold. I keep saying I will check out craigslist as a friend got a wonderful couch with just a tiny scratch on it. The lady who gave it away just bought it and her kitty made a small mark so she gave it away.
