From the small fears and anxieties of being late for an appointment, work or other important event to the all-consuming terror of panic and phobia all humans encounter this emotion more than we would like. Fear can take over our lives subtly or obviously. Little fears eat at our energy and sap our will for effective action. Big fears warp our lives as a body has to constantly plan ways of getting around the dreaded person, place or thing. Little ones see their fears as boogymen under their bed and adults project their anxiety and fear on other adults who happen to be Other to them.
In the desire to avoid all this misery we can forget fear is a normal healthy emotion. It is fear that makes us cautious in dangerous situations. It is excessive fear that needs treatment. It is healthy fear that reminds me to double check the stove is off before leaving the house. It is UNhealthy fear that makes my Mom check it three times and then go back into the house to check again before leaving. Healthy fear gives people an adrenaline rush to out run wild predators. UNhealthy fear makes a phobic person worry about wild predators in the middle of a city. When I was a wee one I was convince there was a loch ness monster in the lake near my Gram's house that would eat me up if I went into deep water.
I hope that this week's work will help all of us release some of our excessive and unhealthy fears so come closer to levels of healthy caution for true dangers that do not hinder effective action.
Guidelines:Please send energy to those who sign up and this thread as well to charge it so that later anyone who wishes can visit it for additional healing. The suggested times for those who want guidelines are 6:30-7 AM & 6:30-7 PM. You are NOT expected to send the entire half hour or twice a day or even daily :) Those times are just rough guidelines for those who prefer working in a framework. Otherwise send when and how long *you* feel is appropriate. All energy healing techniques are welcome whether prayer, Reiki, visualizing colored light, chanting, singing, dancing, crystals or something totally different as long as the intention is for the highest good of all involved.
