8. Yeah, and much of it's in the 12th house, whatever that means.
I remember reading somewhere that Scorpios don't necessarily want to be the one in the spotlight -- it's being the power behind the throne that matters to them. Let me be really clear that I don't at all think that Obama will be a puppet like Bush, but rather that I think that Biden will be given a lot of deserved power in the Obama administration -- he won't just be doing ceremonial things like some Vice Presidents (e.g., Dan Quayle).

I don't know if what I read was correct, but a lot of people who I know who have strong Scorpio energy aren't necessarily looking for attention, although with their magnetism, they often get it anyway.

Some people are wondering whether Biden can handle being number 2; I think that he can.

:)

16. I agree Scorpios don't necessarily want the spotlight
I'm like that, too. But because of their intense energy and competence, I think Scorpios are often pushed to the spotlight. Even if they're not always happy there. For that reason, I often have to remind myself "just because you can do a job, doesn't mean you should do a job."

I remember how great Joe Biden was during the Clarence Thomas hearings, when Anita Hill came forward. I really thought he was fabulous then, so diplomatic, even-handed, calm. I am sure he will do a great job.

And now that I know he's a Scorpio sun, I have that much more confidence in him!

B-) :kick:

9. As someone
with a fair amount of scorpio energy (mercury and saturn along with sun), I'd say that a lot of us do prefer being 2nd in command, out of the spotlight, and we function best in that role. I used to think of it as being Spock to Captain Kirk.

:hi: And, hello, I'm new here but have been following you all for a while. It reminds me of a new age forum I belonged to a long time ago before the www existed. It was part of a corporate intranet system at Digital Equipment and we called it Arcana. I have missed the conversations we had there and am happy to find a similar place to visit!

Digital Equipment you say? That's wonderful that you had such a thing in a corporate environment. (I miss VAX computers. :()

13. thank you
it's amazing what we had at Digital -- I never would have survived corporate america without it. Thousands of personal interest forums sponsored by the company. We were guinea pigs, the first beta test sites for s/w in development. Amazing to find someone familiar with Vaxen. I miss vax/vms too.

It was there that I first was introduced to CYOR, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, pagan and wicca, medicinal herbs, ufology, polarity, reiki, channeling, and more.

14. I'm a programmer, and I'm old enough to remember how it was before...
UNIX took over. Now, for the most part it's UNIX/Linux, Windows & Mac. There are pros and cons to everything, I guess.

I'd always heard that Digital Equipment was a great place to work. Now I know that it was. :)

12. Don't forget the Sag influence
He has Sag rising plus his sun is on the cusp of Sag. I think these Sag influences show up in his bluntness and his work on foreign relations.
Sags are not shrinking violets; he will be visible in this administration.

18. uranus in gemini
I'm no astrologer, but could that cause the occasional verbal gaffes?

It's interesting that so much of his influence is on 1/2 of the chart. Mine is similar and I remember an astrologer-friend noting it. Anyone have ideas about whether and how it would be significant?

20. Verbal 'gaffe' is Sag rising. Sag is blunt, blunt, blunt... and also
the rising signs ruler, Jupiter, is in the 8th house which is Scorpios house, so I would expect that for all his 'gaffes' and direct talk that in private his language can get much MORE laced than we hear in public.

22. I noticed the too nothernlights and wondered
...what does it mean when it seems all in one place like that? And with the two charts superimposed over one another, it STILL seems kinda one sided in some of them. What does this mean? When is it good? When is it bad? I am not saying that the charts will tell it all, but I do trust they will show "leanings".

It is funny but I am not happy about Biden being Barak's VP choice. Still I "deeply felt" that Barak saw Biden as a mentor in many ways and someone he could rely upon when I saw them together. This helped a lot, but it goes a little deeper than that for me. Cheney is trusted by Bu$h too ~ does that mean he is trustworthy for America? No at least in this instance. I have some issues with Biden that says he has not been that trustworthy for us in the past such as hs vote foe the bankruptcy bill, the war, and giving Medicare over to the insurance companies. I would want Barak to have that trust, so now if I can just trust that Barak is trusting the right person who is also trustworthy for us as well as him.

Soooo I hope those "imbalances" show something about that is all ...

24. well barack has always said
that he wanted his VP to challenge his thinking and be a confidant and someone who he could trust. I dont think it will be similar to Bush where Bush has essentially been Cheney and Rumsfeld's puppet on a string. Barack has said that he wants someone who dosnet always agree with him.
