Good thoughts, prayers, light and love requested
for my grandson, for those of you who feel called.

He is 5 years old. He is having open heart surgery tomorrow. His doctors are upbeat, but keep reminding us that they won't know "for sure" until they get in there and see the damage they are repairing first hand.

A little while ago he told me not to worry; that he was going to be fine.

I will "listen" to his little voice telling me that throughout the long day tomorrow.

2. Strong prayers going out to you and your grandson
all day tomorrow, LWolf. My sense is that he will do just fine.

I had 6 hrs. of surgery, shortly after birth, and weighed only 2.5 lbs.

Will be here to help guide him through.O8) :) O8)

4. What time tomorrow?
I would like to lie down just ahead of time so I can focus on this child. Friends have told me in the past they can feel me working on them. I have nothing planned tomorrow, so I would like to make this my focus if you don't mind. I love helping children, in whatever way I can.

11. Cardiac Docs are amazing.
They can do stuff now that is simply amazing. The whole issue of heart surgery is SO creepy that it is easy to forget just how good those Docs are now at what they do.

Brightest Blessings on your Grandson and on your entire family. I will visualize that little boy running and playing like any other happy healthy kid.

frustrating as a medium of expression.

This journey of the heart that your family, and all of us in some way, is on... the wounds, the opening, the healing....learning to trust the process and give it up to spirit. So scary.
It sounds like the heart healing process has already begun for all of you as you summon the strength to make important changes. The heart may seem so vulnerable, yet that is its strength, and what makes us strong and courageous....and when I think of you LWolf and focus on your grandson and mother...I feel your strength as one heart.
Spiritual warriors all.

I can't tell from these posts if he's already had the surgery by now, but hope to hear from you when possible.

Love....:loveya:

19. Success!
Surgery was done in the minimum amount of time we were given; no complications. His system has not yet adjusted to the change; the right side of the heart and the veins/arteries that were under too much pressure now need to relax to let blood flow more naturally. I'll be camped out in ICU for several days; no computers around to borrow.

Thank all of you for the good thoughts sent our way.

36. So happy for you & your 'grandboy'! Amazing the grip that 'grands' get
on your heart, isn't it? I have a grandson (14 now, gets an attitude when I call him a boy) that has gone through hospital & surgeries since he was 4 days old, so I know the pain you are feeling watching his fight for good health. I think grandparents are sometimes even more scared because their life experience has shown all the things that can happen? I love the positive way you have projected through this - being positive @ outcomes, IMO, has a profound influence on what happens!

Now that he's getting healed - love him & enjoy (I KNOW - you are! LOL)! It's such a delicious feeling of reprieve!

27. Grandboy comes home today!
He has made a very quick recovery; surprising his doctors with how well he's done. We have 6 - 8 weeks of careful restraint while his sternum knits itself back together. That ought to be interesting, since his doctors have predicted a huge increase in energy. :P

By somewhere around the end of June, we should be able to turn him loose to climb, wrestle, ride his little bike, etc.; Woo Hoo!

Thanks so much for all of the kind thoughts and great energy sent our way.

32. Good news is
GREAT, at this point; we've had a run of challenges recently that have yet to be resolved. Now that the grandboy is home safe and sound, it's time to put the rest of them behind us.

The grandboy is in great spirits this morning; he's telling me jokes.

Which I need to hear, since I just got a call telling me that my job went to someone else and I'm the only wage earner in the family at this point. !!

Laughter is a great stress reliever.

37. Ugh. That one hurts.
"...since I just got a call telling me that my job went to someone else and I'm the only wage earner in the family at this point. !!"

I lost my work, as well, but luckily I'm not the only wage earner. This is, indeed, a serious turn of events. I hope you find new work, that you like a lot better, REAL soon!

These are some crazy times, no? Best of luck to you, LWolf.
