Would anyone be interested in a weekly group healing project?

One of the Reiki groups I belong to occasionally has monthly healing experiments which have had interesting and helpful results for me. I have been thinking it would be nice to do something like the group healing/prayer request list but with a group focus. Each week those who choose to take part would take a few minutes to focus healing energy on healing a specific issue for everyone in the group. It is up to each person how formal or informally this is done, what time of day, and what technique is used as long as the focus is on the issue of the week being healed in whatever manner serves the highest good of those taking part. Sharing results, if any, is up to each person.

If anyone likes the idea please share some suggestions for the weekly project if any come to mind. Here are a few from me.

Healing one's birth (feel free to include your Mom and healthcare personal involved if they choose to accept) - I did this one before sending Reiki. I noticed a little more ease in my biological Mom after I did this, not so much in myself but then I had previously done Rebirthing breathing exercises

Self-Worth (big issue for me so I have to include)

Healing sent to the chakras going one per week.

Healing sent to one's most recent past life.

Send energy to one's highest potential self in this life.

Send to the highest potential future Earth

Healing to release scarcity beliefs

Love that one. I act more that a wee bit ocd at times w/lots of fixed astrological stuff and massively resist change even as I work for it :p

And fear - I am have phobias a plenty so I am definitely on board with any general or specific fear and anxiety healing!

2. I like the idea of sending to one's highest potential self.

6. The gist of that one is to strengthen our connection with those selves

so the empowerment will hopefully flow both ways. It is kinda like tuning into one's higher/deepest self only just this much closer to fully manifesting in the current reality.

This is the same idea behind connecting with the highest future earth - to strengthen that connection and bring it closer to full manifestation by healing and clearing anything that blocks the way.

8. Congratulations on your Reiki 1! I found being attuned one of the best things I could do for myself

I was taught that Reiki is intelligent energy that will flow where it is needed so there really is no right and wrong to it. I notice the more a person needs reiki the stronger it flows and the hotter my hands get. I especially like the hot hands effect when I use it on my own aching muscles it feels like a heating pad without increasing the electric bill ;)

Depending who I read some Masters say Reiki 1s can't distant send and others do. I can only say it worked for me or more precisely that the people I sent to when I was Reiki 1 feel better after so I assumed it worked all the same. The more I used it the more I could send. The best analogy I can use is it is as if at first I could only channel enough Reiki to light up a night light and as I used it more and more my voltage capacity increased and now I can power a whole house in comparison.

If you do not notice things like this please do not be discouraged! Everybody processes things differently. My Mom swears she is not good at Reiki as me because her hands do not get hot but when she works on me it is wonderful. She has un-cricked my neck and back many a time and done the same for her Mom. I think I need to Reiki my Mom's self-confidence the next time she lets me treat her!

Practice when the urge hits you, experiment and play with it. I put it into food when I cook, let it flow at will when I pet my cats and hug loved ones, charge my jewelery and crystals, send to my frustration when stuck in traffic and to my brain when a bit of music is stuck in my head and WILL NOT STOP PLAYING ARGH!!!! When working to break bad habits included excessive self-criticism I will send to myself if only for 10 seconds each time I catch myself doing the thing I am trying to stop doing. Call myself an idiot or worse? I reiki myself right then. Eat without consciously deciding to eat? Reiki self right then in mid-bite! Experiment and see what happens for you!

I think it would be easier for me if I had the actual list of people in the project, rather than the group as a whole. Maybe we could start a new thread every week with a different focus, and people would have twenty four hours to sign up. Some people might need one kind of focus, and not another.

Then at least once a week, and daily if possible, we all send to one another using the energy healing technique of our choice including the intention 'this or something better for the highest good of all' :)

Also if ya'll like the idea we can try charging the weekly thread so any lurkers who wish to join but don't have a star can opt to absorb the good vibes of that week - or even if anyone wants an extra boost of it can come back later and revisit the thread for a recharge. I have seen sites and emails that have been charged with Reiki that gave me a wonderful zing so I know this can be done.

Towards the end of each week we can either post suggestions for the next week's focus or we could start a poll. I am leaning towards keeping one thread per week to keep things as simple as possible but I am willing to go with what the majority wants. I am just excited at the idea of working as a group!!!

11. We could do a specific time but I wondered about people being on various schedules

and wondered if this might be a good way to experiment on focusing intention so that the energy is aimed at everyone on the list for the entire week. While our physical forms are stuck in time our energy including the energy of our intentions are not. In Reiki we are taught a symbol to focus intention when sending not only for distance treatments but for past and future healing. Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen = No Time, No Space, All Is ONE. I believe this possible with any healing energy not just Reiki. Reiki is just one particular method for accessing universal healing energy and other than learning a few symbols there is no fuss to it which is why I love it!

12. What if the first week's project is what BlueIris suggested - Healing/Support for Changes

I know I have been going though some major stuff and have read here of many going through deep issues as well. Also as many here believe there is a Shift starting this certainly should help us acclimate to the accelerating changes.

If a majority agrees I will post a thread (and don't mind the first one starting early instead of waiting until Sunday since I have no patience :bounce:) that says 'Weekly Healing Project #1 July 31 - August 9: Healing for Change & Transition' and directions on how to join (just post you want to take part, then send a couple minutes every day if possible using the technique of your choice - prayer, Reiki, Light, etc.)

The Five of Wands in the Waite deck shows five guys either fighting with or celebrating with five wands (a fire symbol aka Passion/heart)(victory/battle for the heart .. trick of the cards, they all have + and - meanings). And you know five is Change. I think you might like some of the contemporary decks that use pop and commercial type art. Look at the acclectictarot site for something like that. If your interest is piqued.

Some of the issues you mentioned are also some of my concerns.

I can't seem to get motivated and stuck in void and can't seem to concentrate on advancing my skills in learning as much as I need to be learning.

18. You made me think of something - what of having 2 focus goals per week...........

One for us humans and one area of the planet? Would that be too much to focus on for everyone on top of the monthly healing list and everything going on in each of our lives? We wouldn't have to do this right away if most want to try this...

I do believe that by making each of us healthier which raises our vibration we raise the collective energy of all life on earth by that much more. Also less crap I emit energetically as well as physical garbage wise the less I pollute Gaia as well as negatively effect those around me which keeps me from lowering our collective vibe by that much. And finally it is like the airplane emergency advice to put on your own airmask first to make sure you are able to help others. I mention all of this because there are times I still feel guilty for working on myself instead of putting everything into the earth and helping others.

Except, don't feel guilty. I actually believe Gaia has more healing energy than we do.

Wow .. brain connections firing from your post. What if Father Sun (Re) nourishes Mother Earth (of course this is true) and she nourishes us! Oh yeah! And so it is! We need to TOTALLY work on ourselves and leave her to heal. I don't see any contradiction in those goals. I sure want to send to the other creatures too. But I'm yet uncertain of the focus of the series. My fault.

To follow the analogy, Re has been very upset lately. There was a thread mentioning a pole shift. Sister Luna moves further from us every minute. Gaia has the changes we hear of and so many we don't. I personally think a lot of the government sponsored information we get about the environment is 'tainted', to be delicate. (Who was it that said she believes all the conspiracy theories? That's who I want to go sit by.)

It's a great idea, and I'm looking forward to participating.

21. I have felt that Gaia really wants to do everything she can to protect all her children

She really does want to give us an earthly paradise if enough of us would just let her. Just look at what happens in places like Findhorn when people learn to co-create with Gaia and all of Nature! So I do agree that she isn't helpless and probably doesn't need quite as much help as we fear. I just personally feel it is only polite to clean up some of the messes humanity has made. also sometimes when I do things like that I get out of my way enough to feel Her energy and how much she cares for all beings. One thing I have thought of doing is to make a list of war sites to clean up the energy of all the violence and suffering that happened there, remove thoughtforms etc., and then send to them one by one probably for a week each. I would include the damage done to people who were there who were willing to accept healing and to the collective unconcious or whatever you wish to call it. The groupmind or group thoughtforms that we all shape and then shape us back, those collective fears such as catastrophobia expecting destructive changes beyond those in the stories of Atlantis.

The weekly group project is an experiment in distance group healing where together we pick a focus such as the first week (technically week and half) focus is on healing to support changes and transitions. Soon I will post a poll with as many of the suggestions for the next weekly focus as possible to let everyone vote what to work on next. I have participated in a healing group in person before and felt that the group's energy was amplified somehow way beyond the sum of our parts. I am hoping we will see that effect here when working together to send to one another even though we are separated by distance and send at different times. Intention really does effect energy and I can't wait to see how much an effect it has here!

23. Ah shucks, twernt nuthin. I am just reinventing the wheel here

It is all of ya'll who are great for joining in with my crazyness! Group work is wonderful because I always feel that the work done is always more than the sum of what each of us would do on our own. There is always an amplification. Also not only is it more fun it helps me fight procrastination when I have a commitment to keep up. Speaking of procrastination I keep wanting to put it up on the list of potential future focus for healing but I keep putting it off ;)

Part of the impetius I feel to try to heal war sites even though I know that others have done similar work is I wonder if all the parts are covered. There are so many layers of trauma and injury. The Earth herself is injured. The plant and animal life are harmed so the Devas and other nature spirits could use help. Individual humans carry the trauma from life to life. Some spirits get stuck there or parts of their personal energy do. Humanities' collective conciousness is harmed. Negative Thoughtforms are formed and existing ones are strengthened that need to be dissolved and transmuted. There are harmful entities who feed on the bad energy created there who need to be crossed over to where they can't cause harm and be offered a chance to change. There is probably more that I am not thinking of now but in the end there are so many layers that I am getting the urge to do more than just do general sending of energy to heal anything anywhere out of wack and see if something more focused if only on a specific area might not have more of an effect. I know that mediums will go to battle areas and help stuck souls cross and I know of people who work with nature spirits who work with them to heal the land and all it's plant life but I wonder if all the areas ever get treated.

25. I want to transmute, & so deny use of, the bad vibes in war zones ancient & modern

both because it just pollutes the world for all beings and also as I said before I do believe there are entities that do feed upon such energies.

If others consent in the future weekly projects we can choose one issue to help each other with and another for the world. My first two suggestions are Sumer, the earliest known warring society and site so much fighting up to this day, and Washington DC and nearby areas to heal the way some for the upcoming election.
