What is in the stars RE: wardrums beating loud again...

I agree that there has been a lot of fear floating around lately, but also that the stakes of our earth=game have gotten higher than ever in the past week. The Earth is trembling, what is happening?

Astrologically, I am only mediocre, so I am looking for some "big picture" undrestanding here. I know we are only 3+ years away from 2012...so what's going on here?

I keep seeing the headlines about Iran, Israel and us...and then there's the whole thing of riots in Seoul, and * 'normalizing' relations w/N/ Korea...
this is just weird stuff
and we are all so busy 'surviving' that we can't stop the runaway trainwreck that is Busho's foreign policy anyway...

2. No, Mars isn't retrograde, but Uranus *just* turned retrograde last week.

It's not an uncommon occurrence that Uranus is retrograde, but it's my understanding that it's especially powerful & volatile right around the time that it goes retrograde or goes direct again.

I'm just a lowly astrology student, so I'm sure that there are many more here who can tell you much more and maybe other more important things that are going on astrologically.

If you want to find out more about this topic, we have right here in our very own DU, the Archives. There is an unbelievable amount of information stored, and it goes all the way back to the DU's beginnings in 2001.

There is enough information there to fill 100 encyclopedias. You can always use the 'Search' function, try 2012 and see what comes up. You should be directed to our venue, Astrology. Or, you can just go backwards, go to the bottom of this page and go to Page 2, Page 3 etc.

I do NOT believe this is the end of the world. Just because the Mayan calendar came to an end on Dec. 12 (?) 2012. I believe this shows the end of an Era, the era of ignorance, the extractive mentality, the Corporate Era.
I also believe it won't come easy. I suspect that a large number of the world's population will perish, due to industrial pollution, wars, famine and drought.
For those who make it, it will be like the Phoenix rising from the ashes and a new world will begin.
