June 2008 Prayer Thread II

As we began June’s thread, we asked for compassion and peace and healing for all who asked. We honored this sacred Earth and remembered to honor each other.

As we enter into June's Prayer Thread II, bringing with us all requests from Thread I that still need energy, let us continue with that stream of consciousness and add another layer to it.

Stop for a moment, close your eyes, breathe deeply, center yourself, and feel into the energies that are swirling around you. They are strong and powerful, almost dizzying. As you meld into these energies, find what it is you wish to hold in your heart: peace, healing, abundance, etc., and take that gift into your heart. Become one with whatever it is you are asking for. Sit with this and let it engulf your entire being – feel it fully. Do this as many times as necessary, each time fully embracing the gift. Be at one with these gifts and be grateful. Give thanks for these gifts you have received.

2. Please send prayers out to my aunt and uncle and everyone else that lives near Lake Nagawicka

Lake Nagawicka is a lake in Wisconsin that is at flood stage, and over flowing its dam. The lake could very well go the way of Lake Delton (a lake that overflowed its dam earlier this week and has now all but disappeared).

My aunt and uncle's home is on a channel which is adjacent to the lake. Thankfully they are out of town at the moment, but it would be awful to come home to a home that no longer exists.

62. Lake Nagawicka is a lake in the county I live in. So sorry that

you have family that are at the mercy of this flooding. It has flooded areas that we have never seen flooded. I looked for specific updates on this particular lake, and did not see any news. I hope that we don't hear any more about rising lakes. It has been beautiful and sunny for several days, and I pray for your family that the water level goes down.

I've broken out for the first time in a long time with a poison ivy rash that is quite uncomfortable (looks awful, too).

22. Request for help to have some financial obstacles removed

I am waiting on payment for three jobs I did in May. One of the payments is quite large, and I was counting on using it to pay my phone bill. Well, they supposedly pay on the tenth, but I still haven't gotten a check, and no one will answer my emails re: the payment.
Anyway, I start a new job on Monday, but won't get my first check from that till the 27th. Don't know if AT&T will wait that long (it was due on the 12th). I am going to be playing "catch up" with all the utilities next month, but I don't have to worry about the others cutting me off.
I don't usually come here to ask for vibes, but I could use some this month.

They might be less likely to take action if you let them know what's going on.

In reference to your financial obstacles, I will pray for you and visualize that things are working better for you monetarily.

Additionally, you may want to do the following: (Something very similar was posted by cassiepriam, who was given it by a very gifted clairvoyant who channels the Ascended Masters.)

Say this 3 times at night before you go to bed, 3 times in the morning and again 3 times at lunch time. Additionally, say it 3 times every time you feel negative. Also carefully avoid any negative thoughts. Remember that our thoughts, intentions, feelings and behavior become our karma.

I AM prosperity, financial freedom, and personal happiness. Now make manifest and sustain with grace.

(Note: The original affirmation had 'abundance' rather than 'prosperity' but there can be abundance in bad things as well. Since you're specifically concerned about money, I changed it to 'prosperity'.)

34. Need Vibes - either am getting a flu or detoxing

Flu has been going around the area so my chills, headache and tiredness could be that. It could also be detox as I have started doing yoga a few days a week. A lot of emotional stuff comes up during yoga so I wouldn't be surprised if it hadn't shook loose enough stuff for me to have a physical reaction as well.

47. My Gram has over done things and re-hurt her back & family stuff

My Grandmother has 4 ruptured discs in her back roughly 10 years ago and a heart attack a bit over a year ago. This hasn't slowed her down much nor has it convinced her in all the years of pain to be more careful. Why space out laundry when she can do 4 loads in one day traipsing up and down the basement stairs. My Mother and I ask if she needs anything done - no but the next day she calls up proud of herself for mowing the lawn during the hottest part of the day. This past week she washed the big heavy picture window thermal curtains which has aggrivated her back because she didn't want Mom to take them down when she was there but couldn't wait a day until one of us could do the reaching and lifting. I don't know how she has lived this long but I am so glad that stubborn bullheaded woman will be celebrating her 90th birthday tomorrow.

For the family stuff me, my Mom and my sister are in a row and any vibes to help get the least crappy outcome would be wonderful. Thanks!

My grandmother is finally realizing her limits, but it took a couple of falls before this happened. (The last one had her lying on the floor for several hours before a family member found her. :()

It's wonderful that your grandmother is still so mobile and independent. I'm praying that she realizes what her body can handle so that she doesn't do permanent damage to it. It's not an easy thing for strong, independent people to come to terms with. May she have the wisdom to understand this now so that she can continue to be independent.

Much healing light and energy to her. May she recover quickly from this latest setback.

Much love and light to your family so that you, your sister and mother can recover from your disagreement. I ask that the Universe help you to permanently resolve this situation so that the wound doesn't reopen every time you're together or when you interact.

It kind of sounds like she has this innate need to show the Universe who's boss, so to speak, and prove to everyone, including herself, that she is still able to live life the way SHE wants, and not give in to pain (or common sense). It's an "I'll show you" kind of attitude and I'm sure it served her well, at one point in time. Now, her stubbornness is putting her life and/or already fragile health in danger.

55. Prayers for my sister please?

Talked last night with my younger sister. She has had her MRI and it revealed some lumps. She needs to have an ultrasound asap and then meet with a surgeon. She of course is scared to death - I am not so sure they are not cysts similar to ones she has had in the past.

Please send light and prayers so that she may have courage and as much calmness as possible during the next few weeks as she finds out what is happening with her body.

56. Crick in my neck, knotted shoulders and upper back

I have been working out at home and did something that aggravated an old case of whiplash in my neck. I am pretty sure I know which move did it so I can avoid it from now on. Reiki and toning helps but I am still hunching up like a turtle.

and suggestion that you go to your local health food store and buy a tube of arnica gel - $9/tube here. When I use it, it relaxes my muscles and relieves most muscular pain within minutes with side effects. A chiropractor friend uses this in her practice as well so it must be more widely known.

when treating self and others. Actually this is another thing I have been neglecting is regular self treatment which is rather silly considering all I have to do is put my hands on myself and let it flow. 73. Sprained ankle ..

Wednesday I ran downstairs to answer the phone and twisted my left ankle. It wasn't too bad so I didn't treat it or slow down. Now it is swollen and very painful. I have started standard RICE treatment and would appreciate any healing vibes. I have so much to do. Right now is not the best timing to slow down!!

It was much better this morning. I walked a bunch and it is swollen again.

Just a few minutes ago, I stepped up a couple of stairs to lay my jacket on the steps to take up later. I turned around and fell flat on the floor!! I cried, but it was more from being scared than hurt.
I really am going to have to watch those stairs!! The bottom one sticks out into the room further on the side than the staircase, and so far has been a real hazard to me remaining upright on my feet!

I will be putting ice and elevating as much as possible for the rest of the day.

I don't know how much more his loving soul can take. I know that he chose to be here; I know that we chose to be here, but sometimes, like tonight, we don't really have the strength or the will to deal with what we have taken on.

I know, it's our own fault. But we are just having a moment, and I fear that he will not have the strength to go through many more of such 'moments'.

People can choose to be so (apparently) cruel and insensitive and uncaring and dare I say it..dumb. It's wearing on the soul that cares about humanity; on one that cannot seem to not care. Boy, re-reading that, it sounds kinda condescending. I hope the reader can understand that it's not really meant to be so.

It's just the price of being human, and it is weighing on both of us at the moment. Please lend some of your strength to us.

I am crying for him, because he cannot cry..and it needs to be let out.

How to let go of it? Sometimes we are too close to see how. Hopefully tomorrow will bring clarity. But I am not often this upset for no real reason at all...so it worries me a bit.

My daughter-in-law, M., has been ill. I just heard about it and don't know anything other than 102 degree fever.

My cousin, M., has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The doctor believes the MRI shows it as benign, but more will be known after a biopsy. Not sure of the date.

An out of state friend, M., who gives of herself flawlessly, had surgery recently. She is healing well. Warm love light for her.

I can PROMISE you I won't be here two years from now. I'm already casting feelers to find the next stop. I can't say this was a "mistake". I got a full go ahead from intuition. There is no way I could have anticipated the level of hostility. If I had, I would have RUN the other way! I was in the "Christian" camp for a LONG time and never saw anything like what goes on here, in the name of the "Lord". And, I got a huge clue into the mysterious situation at the flower shop last year.

I have a much stronger personality than I ever imagined, and some people are intimidated and strike back with hatefulness, evidently. Strengths and abilities are perceived as offenses.

Their home is fine.

My aunt may not be. She had her physical recently, and on her chest x-ray they found a shadow and some fluid in her lungs. She had a CT scan yesterday and may be headed for a bronchoscopy.

She was a heavy smoker for at least 3 decades. So you know where my mind has gone...

118. Healing for my Grandmother who has an infection

A few weeks ago she was stung by a wasp and she is very allergic so her doc put her on prednisone. After a week of that she got an infection in her mouth because prednisone depresses the immune system. She went through one course to treat the thrush (a type of yeast) which made it impossible to wear her dentures and it got better but now it is back. She is on many meds so I have to be cautions when suggesting any complimentary therapies involving herbs. I am going to try to get her to eat some good yogurt like stonyfield instead of her usual useless brand.

125. Yes this is the same Grandmother w/ruptured discs

and who can't stand to do things at a sane pace. I gave her some natrol biobeads and stonyfield yogurt and hope that just as the good bacteria help drive out the bad germs in the digestive tract that it will help in her mouth. I had read an article in some health newsletter about breaking open probiotic capsuels and spreading the contents on one's gums when a person has periodontal infection. Maybe I will stuggest this and see if good bacteria might drive out the bad yeastie beasties. I think I have a bottle of something with a wider variety of good bacteria than the natrol stuffed in the fridge because I had a minor reaction to the trace amounts of milk in it. Hope it is still good!

I just want to say I generally review it every few days and do send lots of L & L, even if I've recently been remiss in responding.

has a black lab she completely adores. He's a character. His name is Duff. He is hospitalized with some sort of strange neurological disorder.

He can't stand up but since receiving care he can eat and drink again and lift his head and wag his tail.

His prognosis is not definitive as yet.

Any energy sent will be greatly appreciated. She had to take him in on her birthday.

128. Want to post an update ..

and gratitude to all who sent energy and L&L. The most current crisis situation was healed this morning. Some actions are still pending, but the hostility is gone. There are only four of us here right now; but, I'm hoping that we can maintain a healthy mood even after the other two return.
