Mutable grand cross
Hi, I was wondering if any of the astrologers can enlighten me about mutable grand crosses. I am a Leo with Aries rising and Sag moon --with a mutable grand cross.

I wonder if this has much to do with my current situation--my low energy and seeming inability to get my rear end in gear to make needed changes and progress. It seems like someone with a fixed sun sign, and a cardinal ascendant (esp. Aries) wouldn't have such a difficult time starting purposefully in a new direction. I just feel so wishy washy.

If you need more info, let me know.

1. Well with three firey primary placements thank goodness you have the
mutable placements to counterbalance them.

Do you know if Saturn is transiting your cross as yet? Or has Uranus done so?

When you talk about low energy, lack of motivation, and seeking a new direction, those things are generally influenced by Mars' placement, natally and by progression.

Are you one of those born in '66 or '67 with Saturn and Chiron in Pisces, opposing Uranus and Pluto in Virgo by any chance or are you of a different vintage?

I'm only asking because I'm really looking to that epi generation who are experiencing both their Saturn and Uranus oppositions this year and it's the first time we'll experience the opposition of those planets since back then. So I expect a whole lot of moving and shaking from that group this year.

Really need to know the planets involved and the degrees of your cross to interpret what's going on.

2. And I'm wondering
if you are born around Aug 16, you would have transiting Neptune opposing your Sun right now. Neptune will make you tired, listless, etc.

3. good point but I'm still curious about the degrees and planets involved in the cross.
That Neptune Chiron has been exacting for many.

:hi:

5. Okay
You're through the Uranus opposition so I'm fairly sure you've let go of some stuff. Yet the Saturn transit hasn't happened yet to consolidate things for you. That'll happen from September until June of next year. That would be a great time to do a cleanse or a nutritional overhaul and also for reassessing your employment environment.

Your Mars in Libra, aside from your rising sign, is your only cardinal planet.

It was just recently trined by Neptune which can be inspirational but can also be a bit disorienting. Chiron will trine it over the coming years and that should free you up considerably.

I have Mars in Libra too. I've a whole lot to say about that placement.

PM me if you'd like to discuss it in detail.

Hang in there.

6. Saturn transit? And some general questions regarding transits/aspects.
I'm still learning some basics regarding signs, planets and houses but am pretty overwhelmed with aspects and transits. Some transits and aspects I really understand (like Mercury Retrograde). I seem to learn the effects of transits best as they happen and are discussed like the Mars opposition to Pluto. I get that aspects are almost like seeds of particular energies and influences that will only "grow" when they fall on the correct placements. If you have no placements where they "fall," they don't effect you personally--At least that is how my mother described it to me. There is a general overall effect--a mundane effect instead. In the past 30 days, I have two friends who both had to bring their father's to the hospital for issues regarding blood vessels -- they both had surgery. One died, the other went home good as new. I'm pretty sure that was a Mars/Capricorn opposition effect. Would I be wrong in assuming that?

What do you mean about a Saturn transit? I know Saturn is transiting Virgo now, I struggled through the transit in Leo--that was difficult. Is it because it dings the planets I have in Virgo? Isn't this different than a Saturn return (which I assume was when I was 28 and got married and had my child)? I wouldn't be due for my second for another 16 years --I think.

This is an area I feel very confused about. When a planet is transiting a sign, for example, Pluto is transiting Capricorn, how do you determine when it dings (aspects) your placements? I'm sorry if this sounds ridiculously ignorant.

7. Your mum was right in her explanation.
Your friends' fathers' surgeries probably couldn't be assessed or explained by a singular aspect but it's most likely, a significant part of a broader picture.

You had Saturn going over your Sun and Mercury when it was in Leo.

You won't have another Saturn return until your in your late 50's. However you will have your Saturn opposition going over your Virgoean stellium during the times I mentioned upthread.

Aspects are all based on geometric angles. Astrologers argue about orbs (precise degrees of activation) all the time. I just feel they hinge largely on the degree of an individual's sensitivity and the arguments are a bit silly.

You don't sound at all ignorant. You sound sincerely curious. Ask away. . .

I'll respond to your PM ASAP.

best
