Maybe it's just me, but...

I love this site and I come here to be enlightened and uplifted.

I don't think I'm the only one. The Astrology, Sprituality & Alternative Healing Group (ASAHG) consistantly gets more hits than any other group in this Personal Interests area. So many people have posted about how much they love and appreciate the postitive approach here on this site. It's so great.

I never visit any other DU group. I know there is animosity, negativity, out there. I don't even want to see it, but I've seen others write of it. I see no reason to expose myself to it.

When I was just coming here just to read, before I joined, this site felt great. But now that I've started posting, in all honesty, something feels off.

I want something more.

I think it's because we all, including me, are so scattered. We post about horoscopes, dreams, light requests, spirits, so many things...

All important, don't get me wrong, but so many topics get confusing. So many posts get dozens of views and fewer than a dozen responses. Sometimes I write something that is really heartfelt, and I'd like to go back to see what others have to say, and I can't even find the thread I've posted to. So many topics, so little time...

I don't have the spiritual or astrological sensitivity that others here have, the connection, the awareness, but lately I feel like the world is really in peril and in need of our help. Your help, actually.

I would like to encourage us as a group to find a way to concentrate our energy, our community, into a force, a unity, something that could have an impact. I am craving this, actually, in more ways than on this site.

I'm a newbie. I recognize that. Stellanoir, Pink Tiger, LilDreamer, Ayashahiqqa, MorningGlow, BlueIris, I know there are others I'm not recollecting now....I defer to you who have been posting for longer than I have, who have skills far beyond mine...

But I would like to ask one among you to start a thread, a "conversation," that we can all make an effort to keep at the top of the queue. A thread that we all recognize as the tie that binds us, the thing we check on and respond to, whatever horoscopes, dreams, light requests, etc., may ALSO be posted. I'd like to suggest we--you--start this thread and that we all push to keep the "conversation" at the top of our list in order to help focus our energy on improving the world.

I suggest this in all humility, and hope you cut me some slack if I've overstepped. I'm a Scorpio sun, I can't help myself. It's what I do. My blessing and my curse, that I cannot keep my mouth shut, my ideas to myself. (But I also feel like, maybe I came to this place for a reason, because I cannot keep my mouth shut, nor my ideas to myself. Maybe you need me to help you concentrate this energy. Uh-huh. I am so the Scorpio....Wait! Forget that. I almost never let that Scorpio bitch get away with that shit. Or at least not so obviously.)

Thank you for your patience and your consideration. I truly believe the world will be better off with your assistance.

And we have that but it's a bit sporadic. It's called "The Daily Psychic" and I started the first one and others, like BlueIris, have kept up the practice.

I would like to have that thread be a little more regular. I once belonged to an armchair detectives' group. We had a daily thread where everyone dropped in to say hello or whatever, share tidbits of news and the like. It was such a nice way to interact each day.

Maybe the term "Daily Psychic" puts people off. Not everyone on here has a lot of psychic activity going on. Maybe we should just call it the "Daily" thread.

3. Callie, check out the 8000 drums thread

that happens today. I'm taking a drum to work, in fact, to join in. These periodic events do help one remember the interconnectiveness.

As for Scorpio suns--hey, you are some of my favorite people! A dear brother, and a talented chap who I think of as a friend. He starred in a movie called "Mind Walk", which I recommend for your viewing pleasure.

Anyway, yours is a good idea. There is a lot of energy out there right now. To my mind, it is not so much focusing on our part as joining with this energy and gleaning from it a direction to go. I know that since I have been doing that, my least whim seems to have blossomed into fruition.

I echo NJCher's idea that perhaps we could have a thread called "the Daily Thread".

Maybe we could ask the mods if we could have a pinned thread that automatically remains at the top?

... and I'm seconding (fifth-ing? heh) it. It's amazing what a focused intention and energy can do to help move things in a better direction, isn't it?

I am so thankful that I found this group and like Callie I don't usually go too far afield here. I can't wallow in the negativity because it feels too 'dense' to me and uncomfortable. So, I seek out places where the light can shine (i.e.: here) and come visit every day to see what you all are saying/posting.

Whatever you guys want to call it, count me in. :-)

7. Do you know that

you can click the icon at the top of the page, "My DU", and it will give you all your posts for the past 48 hours?
That was a gift from the admins during a fund raiser a couple of years ago. It really helps to keep track of where you have been.

I love the Daily Psychic threads. Another Daily would be just as welcome.

edit: Another tool I use is the "Bookmark Thread" link on every thread. Once bookmarked, those can be found at "MY DU" also.

8. I would contribute posts to a "daily" thread

question the best spot on DU for me and I think a lot of people feel that way. It's about uppin' the vibes and this is a great place to do that. The posters here have great insight.
