Unusual story - Is there fate?
Here's a link to story about a young woman who moved from Vietnam to Taiwan looking for her biological father. Unbeknownst to her, she worked for him for several months in Taiwan. The connection only came to light after she moved on to her next job and asked that certain personal belongings be forwarded to her.

Think of all of the coincidences that had to occur for this meeting and this discovery! How does one explain things like this without raising issues of fate? Somehow their souls had something to work out and things happened to make sure they met.

1. IMHO
fate = karma, same outcome from different mindsets. But then there's, "You make your own future." Or maybe it's all coincidence.

I've tried the scientific method of observation and find all are possible.

Accept everything, accept nothing. - Anon

2. Considering that my husband was born in Ireland and I
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 06:47 PM by Cleita
was born in Chile, what were the odds that we would meet each other in the Los Angeles area to eventually hook up with each other? Also, since LA is such a huge place, most likely you won't ever know the majority of people who live and work there. So the odds were incredible, yet we did. It could have been a pre-life arrangement. Also, I kept wanting to move away from there but yet found I had to return over and over for various reasons. The last time I returned was when I started going out with my future husband. Could karma have been forcing me to stay put to live out my destiny?

3. I do believe in fate. I don't think that everything is fated...
but I feel that we make certain decisions before we incarnate that will definitely happen in our lives.

This is a great example of it. Thank you for sharing it, isos.

4. I am adopted and my Great Aunt was friends with my biological uncle's wife
Great Aunt's daughter worked with my bio-aunt and was friends with both. My adopted family knew my birth surname which is not common yet they were in a far away part of the state when i came from. Somehow my Great Aunt made the connection and gently asked of a baby being given up for adoption at that time and after phoning back and forth the various parties figured out that yes we were a match. The next day I got my first call from my BioMom :) We had some interesting syncronicities like having purple as our favorite color and silver as metal preference. I actually dislike wearing gold as does my BioMom. I was very fortunate that my adopted parents were cool about it all and in fact encouraged calls and visits. BTW I was in my late teens at the time. My adopted Mom had offered to put me into the adoption registration finder group years before that where adoptees, birth parents and adopted parents sign up to be matched with their family members. She got the papers filled out but I told her to wait. I worried my bioMom would be in a spot at that time where it would be bad for me to turn up. It later turned out that it would have been a bad time due to some family issues back then so everything worked out for the best in the end.
