Past life connection? Similar aura? Mistaken identity?
Maybe someone on this site can offer an explanation for this
phenomenon. My co-worker and I are constantly mistaken for
each other. It happens so often it is comical. We've got to
the point where we just go along and don't even correct
people. Beyond the fact that we are both big-boned while
girls, we don't look much alike. She is a red head and I'm
blonde. Figure-wise, she is a pear and I'm an apple. She has a
southern accent and I do not. Our names are similar, but not
that much. Callie and Tammy, for example.

But people just constantly confuse us. It happened twice just
this week, with other co-workers. I once saved a voice mail
from our bureau head, obviously much stressed at the time,
where, by the end of her message, she pretty much uses our
names interchangeably, like she didn't even remember who she'd
called in the first place. When I was pregnant with my son,
Tammy went to a restaurant we frequent, and the waitress saw
her and said "Hey, you finally had that baby!"
People will ask me at work if I was wearing something
different that morning, or ask me a question about a
conversation I know we never had. I just know they were
talking to Tammy. The same thing happens to her.

Can anyone help me out here? What is this about

1. You two must just be drawing from very similar soul energies
and perhaps share the same oversoul so it's about your vibes, not necessarily your looks.

It most likely would be reflected in your charts.

I'm glad you are enjoying and see humor all the confusion.

Now you girls behave now okay. . . ?

Or one of you could inadvertently cook the other one's goose.

KIDDING

Seriously, I'm not at all saying that will happen.

Welcome to DU and the ASAH forum.

7. stellanoir, you totally nailed it! I can't believe
that we have the same stuff in our 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 10th houses! Five out of 12 seems significant to me. No wonder people get us confused.

I am no astrology pro, but I got our charts from chaosastrology and made a table to compare them. It has been a real learning experience for me. Now I want to do the same thing for everyone in my family!

8. Yeah most of us start by doing the charts of our friends and families'.
Once we get our confidence, it's always a surprise to see how much easier it is to read for strangers than it is for those to which our heart strings are attached.

Glad you learned some stuff from this and didn't intend to be foreboding at all. Quite to the contrary in fact.

Have fun with it.

9. Please don't worry...
I know it was a joke. I guess I am just totally without a playful sense of mischief. I believe that's the Scorpio coming through.

I compared my husband's chart and mine. We had nothing the same in any single house! But I noticed something, so I calculated the opposites on the chart, like cancer/capricorn or taurus/scorpio. We have 10 houses with opposites! I guess opposites do attract. Ironically, the one house I remember we didn't have opposites was the money house. And what do most couples argue about? Aha...

10. The healthiest relationship I ever had was comprised of all oppositions.
If people are one similar of levels of consciousness, oppositions are amazingly revealing and accurate mirrors.

Sounds like you found a good one.

2. Wow!
I've never heard of something like this happening! Sure, from time to time you might find yourself mistaken for someone else, but that other person isn't around, and you never see them, much less work with them! I'd say stellanoir is right. Welcome to Astro! :hi:

People aren't paying attention.
Aside from whatever connection you may have in their eyes. Glad you're having fun with it. It could be a real source of unnecessary suffering for you otherwise.

5. You all need to hang with a better crowd.
I shared with Tammy what was said about this on this sight. I was surprised that more than one person thought about the mischief, even misery, we could cause in each other's lives. She was too. We totally have each other's backs. I trust her completely, and she said the same to me today.

You all must live on the coasts or something. You need to hang with a more pleasant crowd. Here in the Midwest, for the most part, we do not scheme about how to undo each other's progress. Dare I say we vibrate on a higher plane? B-)

6. I said I was only kidding.
and that I was glad you two were having fun with it.

I think it has less to do with the crowds we hang out with and more to do with how much we hear about identity theft these days. Though it's not directly related, mistaken identity could potentially involve issues revolving around confused responsibilities in a work situation, but it sounds as though it's not at all problematic.

I once had a house mate who had a very common name long before identity theft was common place. She was fairly well off and always paid her bills in advance of when they were due. A woman who shared her name was racking up enormous credit card debt, in serious arrears, and the creditors got them confused. It took a lot of time, money, and was a total hassle to straighten it out.

Anyhoo did you look at your charts and see anything significant or reflective of drawing from similar energies?
