new article on Starlight News: Hollywood East
http://starlightnews.com

For an administration that condemns the entertainment studios of Hollywood as a bastion of everything counter to GOP moral values (sic), it is a great irony that the antics of the Bush Cabal increasingly resemble a lively version of Hollywood on the Potomac. From its swaggering Wild West foreign policy to its ludicrous snake-oil budgetary numbers, life in the nation’s capital has begun to imitate art. Recently, we have even been treated to a special presentation of the Theater of the Absurd, where a faux journalist/gay male prostitute finds his way into the halls of power to help defend the “honor” of the administration from the attacks of the “liberal” media. Even FOX Broadcasting could not have come up with anything this brazen.

Indeed, the one shining success of the Bush administration, which stands in sharp relief to its huge clutter of failed policy, is its ability to manipulate and stage its presentation to the unsuspecting public. Using well-choreographed public events, campaign speeches, and press conferences, it has meticulously sculpted its own image with the skill of a Michelangelo. Due to this hitherto unprecedented message control, many perceive George Bush in mythic dimensions - the ultimate heroic, compassionate, and strong president, touched by the fingertips of God.

2. It's unfortunate, but

checking the dingdong's chart for the Full Moon yesterday shows
his Jupiter return in the third house within one degree of the 4th cusp and trining his natal Uranus/North Node in the 11th house.

The press and Congress will be lauding his wonderful success. And the planets say he did quite well with those groups.

And if you notice, for the first time ever, he spoke well - delivered his speeches overseas in full sentences.

3. He definitely benefits from Jupiter
It is very strong right now, on his Jupiter and on his Moon. And the Inaugural Mercury Venus conjunction is also highlighted right now, as I mentioned in the article. What is interesting about the Jupiter return is that it is simultaneous to Jupiter sitting on Inaugural Jupiter and on US prog Mars. So all this martial talk and self congratulations over spreading democracy and successful elections can be seen as connected to this aspect and will pass as the aspect passes.

This article on Scott Ritter is interesting. If Seymour Hersh does come out with this, all hell could break loose.

http://207.44.245.159/article8130.htm

The former Marine also said that the Jan. 30 elections, which George W. Bush has called "a turning point in the history of Iraq, a milestone in the advance of freedom," were not so free after all. Ritter said that U.S. authorities in Iraq had manipulated the results in order to reduce the percentage of the vote received by the United Iraqi Alliance from 56% to 48%.

Asked by UFPPC's Ted Nation about this shocker, Ritter said an official involved in the manipulation was the source, and that this would soon be reported by a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist in a major metropolitan magazine -- an obvious allusion to New Yorker reporter Seymour M. Hersh.

4. Tipping Point?
Would you say that what begins at the end of March, combined with what happens starting in May will produce, what we may see in hindsight, as the tipping point to the demise of this administration?

5. I've said all along that the Bush presidency is wildly fictional
in its execution like a movie script. The only problem is that we are going to suffer REAL consequences because of this script. Remember that episode of the Twilight Zone, where the soap opera starts living his role in the soap in the real world?

6. This country NEEDS a good Uranus kick in the communications house!
I hope that if/when Hersh comes out with how the Iraqi's elections were stolen, that it sheds some more light on our OWN gerrymandered election.

I also can't help but wonder about how a new military draft might work into this equation. With all the posturing going on with North Korea, and all the not-so-subtle threats toward Iran, and with our troops so over-burdened in Iraq, I can't help but think that one of our Uranus kicks might be the institution of a new draft. Since I'm still new to the mundane side of Astrology, I don't know which house would have to be highlighted for this question. Can you help out here? What does it look like to you? I do know that a draft will wake up a whole new sleeping giant of outraged protesters in this country! What a shocker THAT would be to the couch potato set!

It looks like the mainstream media has been trying to push this bush trip in Europe to look pretty promising. Other countries' news agencies haven't been so glowing in their accounts of this trip. Many leaders seem to be subtly dissing bush, and it's going right over his arrogant little head....much to the glee of the citizens of those countries who hate all things bush.

Also, there was some protester who evidently lobbed a gas bomb over one of the barriers protecting bush from the protesters...I think it was in Brussels, if I remember right (either there or Germany, but I think it was Brussels). It was reported yesterday on NPR.

BTW, Nancy, I just got a project in Alabama, so I'll be down there working for 4 to 6 months. (No hurry on the software thingy!) I've been running around working like a Trojan trying to get my affairs in order here before I go. I'll be working a 6-day ticket, so I'll only have Sundays off. That means I likely won't get to come home for a visit! It also means I won't be spending as much time on DU!!

That was a really hopeful article you wrote! I know there are at least 125 million of us who wish bush would get the full force of Uranus up hisanus!!

:loveya:

7. Tweaking Inaugural Jupiter- the Inaugural Was "Negative" Jupiter
Remember how even talking heads faulted the Bush Junta for its extravagent Inaugural especially in light of the Tsunami?

The excess was Jupiter biting him in the ass.

Also, the way the parade and pomp made him look out of touch... negative Jupiter.

His overreaching Inaugural address- negative Jupiter.

From here on out... I'd say it'll be harder and harder to consider Jupiter as being overtly beneficient for Junior.

IMO, this Jupiter twist includes foreign affairs.

These clowns ARE totally fiction.

Like a freaking commercial for a crappy product you are sick of seeing on tv.

8. The turning point
The grassroots rebellion that you have predicted will indeed involve blogs and the Internet, among other things. But I suspect that Social Security will be the focal point of the backlash against Bush, and that Howard Dean will be the guy who figures out how to makes the opposition gel.

By the way, I'm an old Clarkie, I am just calling it like I'm seeing it.

9. We should keep in mind that something big and unepected will hit Bush
in late March or early April. It will be the beginning of a new story that will take at least through next January to unfold. It could relate to anything we have already seen or something new. But Uranus tends to be a bolt out of the blue (so to speak).

By the way, today's WP had a very interesting editorial about North Korea's real motives. Very sobering and scary, given our inadequate leadership.

11. It seems to shake up his adminisitration more than us
Uranus will complete its waxing square to the Moon in the Inaugural chart. That would seem to be some kind of shake up for them. And the hit on Bush's Mars is almost simultaneous.

Bush Mars - 9Virgo18
natal Bush Uranus 19Gemini09

Inaugural Moon - 9Gemini17
natal Inaugural Uranus 4Pisces48

In both cases you have a natal square between the two planets.

Transiting Uranus reaches 9Pisces18 on April 13, after waxing into the exact aspect from March 24. It crosses two more times: mid July to mid August and January and early February 2006.

I just hope Bush doesn't do anything too reckless and aggressive during this transit. It is stimulating his Mars and uranus can be very reckless and unpredictable. Clearly, something will happen that begins some kind of transformative process.

15. I think the gas prices are part of the Saturn transit
Saturn is still on US Mercury and will soon oppose US Pluto (one pass). This has led to a contraction (Saturn) of US currency (8th house Mercury) and economic power, less jobs (Mercury), and weakened manufacturing power (Mercury). It also leads to a sense of scarcity (Saturn) of resources (8th house Mercury).

As for the firing on the Italian journalist, it may be a spark of Uranus before the storm. I would expect sudden events or even crisis to change the curent course of events. Watch especially April 4 to 14 or so. Bush could do something quite aggressive that will have negative reprecussions by late May and June when Saturn returns to US Mercury, Bush's Saturn, and Inaugural IC.

17. The Italian journalist is hinting it could have been on purpose
This is sure to stir the pot!!

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/international/AP-Italy-Iraq-Hostage.html?hp&ex=1110171600&en=0cc68587635ffc49&ei=5094&partner=homepage

``The fact that the Americans don't want negotiations to free the hostages is known,'' Sgrena told Sky TG24 television by telephone, her voice hoarse and skaky. ``The fact that they do everything to prevent the adoption of this practice to save the lives of people held hostages, everybody knows that. So I don't see why I should rule out that I could have been the target.''

snip

Suddenly, she said, she remembered her captors' words, when they warned her ``to be careful because the Americans don't want you to return.''
Sgrena wrote that her captors warned her as she was about to be released not to signal her presence to anyone, because ``the Americans might intervene.'' She said her captors blindfolded her and drove her to a location where she was turned over to agents and they set off for the airport.

19. There is more on the Giuliana case
Read the paragraph in bold below!! This is what needs to get out and explains everything!

Giuliana Shooting, Questions Raised

From The Laura Flanders Show (March 5th, 2005)

Italians are furious about the killing of Italian negotiator Nicola Calipari and the wounding of journalist Giuliana Sgrena and a second intelligence officer Friday by US forces in Iraq.

snip

According to Scolari, says Sermonti, Giuliana had been warned by her captives that "the Americans didn't want her to get out of Iraq."

At the time of her abduction, Giuliana was heading to an area of Baghdad where witnesses from Fallujah are staying to interview Fallujah refugees about the US assault on their city last year. Says Sermonti:

"She had some information about the use of illegal weapons by US forces in Fallujah that was very sensitive. A very hot topic. There were rumors of some use of chemicals and a number of weapons that are not legal -- like and phosphorus."

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has been a staunch ally of the US on Iraq. He defied widespread public opposition to the invasion and sent 3,000 Italian troops. Now, faced with an irate populace, Berlusconi has taken the rare step of summoning US ambassador Mel Sembler to his office. According to reports, he demanded that the US 'leave no stone unturned' in investigating the incident and the US President, in a phone call, promised exactly that.

On the US front, pressure for a serious inquiry has yet to build, and the deadly attack on Sgrena's car grabbed little attention on the Sunday morning political talk shows on TV. President Bush made no mention of the Nicola killing in his weekly radio address to the nation. His first response was to dispatch an acting undersecretary of State to express condolences to Italy's Ambassador.

21. I just hope this issue about US using these chemical forbidden weapons
and using depleted uranium, which is poisoning OUR troops as well as Iraqis for years to come, becomes a big story. I don't see how the media can ignore that we are poisoning our own troops with this stuff. Iff just one show would do a special on it, the media might pick it up.

22. Here is another article about Sgrena
http://kurtnimmo.com/blog/index.php?p=599

In all the coverage by the corporate media of the Sgrena story, one crucial element is conspicuously missing: on the day she was kidnapped Giuliana Sgrena had an appointment in a Baghdad Sunni mosque with refugees from Fallujah. “During the attack on the city, eyewitnesses described horrific scenes that analysts have attributed to attacks with napalm, a poisonous cocktail of polystyrene and jet fuel that has the capacity of melting human flesh and bones,” writes Joel Wendland. “Inter Press Service reported eyewitness accounts describing bombs that created mushroom clouds and explosions that caused skin to burn even when water was thrown on it. Some eyewitnesses saw indiscriminate shooting and the use of tanks to drag dead bodies to mass graves.”

Giuliana Sgrena likely has a few stories to tell that will not bode well for Bush and his sock puppet, Silvio Berlusconi. Expect these stories to surface soon after Sgrena makes her recovery.

Iran threatens oil shock if Bush causes pushes for sanctions or invasion:

Back off or suffer oil shock: Tehran
AFP, Reuters
March 07, 2005

OIL-rich Iran has raised the stakes in the standoff over its nuclear program, warning that any attempt to impose sanctions on its activities would lead to an energy crisis in the US and Europe.

Referring the Islamist state to the UN Security Council, as the US had urged, would be "playing with fire", Iran's top nuclear official said yesterday.

"The first to suffer will be Europe and the US themselves," Hassan Rowhani said at a Tehran conference on nuclear technology and sustainable development. "(It) would cause problems for the regional energy market, for the European economy and even more so for the US."
