Imminent constitutional crisis

Congress and Bush have now officially butted heads, thrown down the gauntlet, are at loggerheads, have gone toe to toe, etc. Choose whatever metaphor you want but we have a constitutional crisis on our hands. I'm referring to the Congressional demand for Rove and others to testify under oath and Bush's invoking executive privilege. Anyone have any psychic or astrological clue as to what happens next? Anyone willing to do a tarot spread?

8. So much is up in the air and will depend on how much of a power

struggle congress wants to get into. I think we have months and months of more dirt and grime yet to go through. I get that this atty crises will look like nothing if things continue to break.

I heard from my mom yesterday, who has always voted republican that she wants him impeached. She was angry with him before and thought impeachment would do more harm than good last year, that has all changed now. As an aside she said that during the speech yesterday that the television quit working in the Albuquerque area (she said due to solar flares?) and SHE said she thought it was a sign that God was sick of him too.

I do believe that when the country is ready we will see justice, may we all be ready quickly.

putting two and two together leads me to believe that Congress won't budge on this nor will the White House, so I think we are going to have a classic irrestible force meeting an immovable object. This could be very interesting because I believe we are watching the Fourth Reich unraveling before our very eyes. They just can't cover up their lies anymore and are sinking further into the morass by trying to lie their way out of the lies.

Not that I think you're anything like Lauer really. Just thought it was synchronous.

Just kidding. It's kind of obvious that the situation has a 99% chance of turning into this. Neither side can afford to lose. Democrats are under tremendous pressure to undo the train wreck of the Bush administration and the Republican led Congress. They can't hide behind the being a minority argument anymore for not facing up to BushCo. Bush on the other hand can't afford to admit his administration is a bunch of lying criminals.
