Quick question about old surgery sites
Have any of you ever heard of old surgery sites acting up and feeling very sensitive and painful?

These places I am really feeling now this past week with some pain are sites of surgeries of over 3 decades ago!!!!!
I have never felt them before like this.......

I just had all of my remaining mercury fillings (about 7 of them) removed 3 weeks ago - any possible connection to this agitating of old physical wounds or scars elsewhere in the body?

The scars on the surface itself do not hurt, but the underlying tissues where something (benign) was removed hurts.

Very strange sensations, these!

Any ideas are most welcome.

1. I had my appendix out more than forty years ago and I still
get a twinge now and then. However, if it's more than a passing thing and hurts, I think I would consult with a doctor to find out if there is something else internally going on.

4. Yes, I will do so if it continues.
Just wondering why suddenly I feel both of these places?

Very strange.

2. That happens to me too
A dog bite (really bad one) when I was 9 a hernia scar from age 4 and a angiogram site on my upper leg.

I was taught that surgical openings or wounds to the body actually open the aura. Now whether that's true or not I've found that placing my hand over the scar and sending "energy" to it soothes it.

You can also just visualize it healing and sometimes that helps too.

5. I do know how scar tissue can act up and itch sometimes.....
but what I experience now is not the surface scar from the surgery wound, but the tissue beneath this which had something removed from it years and years ago.

I have been gently massaging the areas and sending them relaxing vibes...:-)

3. Could be due to adhesions.
Adhesions are the medical term for scar tissue that forms on the inside of the sight were surgery occurred. These sometimes require surgical removal.

But, it is not all that common. I've had 3 major abdominal surgeries- 49 years ago, 35 years ago and the most recent- 10 years ago. And, I've got some adhesions. But, nothing too bad.

6. A friend of mine mentioned this too.
I was wondering if it wasn't something on a different level. Just as I did Primal therapy based on theory that the body really does "remember" ....even perhaps birth experience, pre-birth....

that somehow something now was triggering some process linked to these areas of surgery decades ago.

I noticed that with removal of my old fillings I think I swallowed a few little chunks, wondering about possible levels of toxicity and my body trying now to de-tox.

I'm of the mind that there can be so many links to what we experience here on earth, just wondering what some of you might throw up on this subject. :silly:

Thanks for your ideas on this!

8. You think you may have swallowed a few little chunks?
There was a health convention here last month. One of the displayers was a female Doctor who works from Mexico, because the FDA would never allow her to practice in the States. I don't have her name handy. I had heard of her before. She recommends the dental cleaning. Do you mind if I ask why you pursued that? She emphasises there is a risk, if the dentist does not know how to get the stuff out.

I have a friend in N. Tx who has complained from fibromyagia for a long time. He had all his fillngs replaced, chelation, homeopathy, to no avail. Nothing helped. Until, he was recently diagnosed with Lyme's disease and put on a program of antibiotics. I haven't seen him recently, but on the phone, he sounds better than ever.

The reason I mention this is because he can trace his problems back to a natural fiber futon. Whatever was going on there weakened his immune system.

I have been having some pelvic pains lately. That was a thing of the past for me.
I also wonder why are these pains back?

Sorry to hear that you are in discomfort. If you swallowed some chunks? I pray that you get them out of your system.

But don't forget, as I think you know, your body has the ability to heal and recover. Even a bad toxicity can be overcome.

Not giving medical advice, but what feels right for you? Detox teas? Extra C and B+?
All I can recommend is listen to your body. Let it be the guide.

10. Yes, I think I did swallow some bits,
and it pissed me off after my dentist assured me every precaution would be taken....but his new assistant apparently has little experience...:grr:
but I have been taking extra selenium as well as Chlorella to help my system cleanse itself.

I have wanted to get rid of these things for years to see if they were affecting my mental/physical health problems, and when my dentist told me I needed an in-lay to replace a really old one, I told him to replace them all....in 2 sittings.

I am really glad to have them out of my mouth!

My husband and I are getting older and really noticing the daily aches and pains - even though we do try to take very good care of ourselves and live pretty healthily IMO. I know it is inevitable! :D

But these old surgery spots are something other than age-related aches.

:hi:

I have been having pelvic discomfort. There were two surgeries.
Maybe it is the flares. In my case I'm sure it isn't getting on in years. As I refuse to do so.

edit: I just figured out the secret to long life. Just be damned stubborn.
Look around. It must work?
