August 7 - Saturn conjoins Sun?

Hi astrologers,

I was just visiting astrologyzone.com for my monthly forecast, and it is UG-LY! I am SO not going to enjoy August, apparently! And according to Susan, the worst day for lots of people, Capricorns (me) included, is going to be August 7, when Saturn conjoins the Sun. Can somebody please explain what that means, and why it is going to make life a living hell? Thanks! :hi:

I'd love to hear input. My experience is the exact opposite, though. I'm on a roll and everything's been going my way. All kinds of good things are happening.

2. living hell?

I sure hope not. I was curious to see what could be so bad about that day for Cappies and everyone else. Other than the ongoing fixed T-square (Saturn in Leo, Jupiter in Scorpio, Neptune in Aquarius) that affects many people I did see one other thing:

On the 7th the Sun/Saturn conjunction will be the apex of a yod (also called "Finger of God")formation. The yod occurs when two planets in sextile (on the 7th it is Moon in Capricorn and Uranus in Pisces) are both quincunx another planet (in this case the Sun/Saturn conjunction). Because the Moon is one of the the planets at the base, this will be a very fleeting aspect. The quincunx is a dynamic aspect that indicates a need for adjustment- my astro books are all packed so I cannot look this up for more info. With the Moon being in Capricorn and the Sun conjunct Capricorn's ruler, Saturn, there is an emphasis on Cappies that day- but this aspect will only last a few hours.

Thanks, sofedup. I don't know what exactly Susan at AstrologyZone was referencing. All I know is that several horoscopes I checked said August 7 would be difficult, and my forecast was just awful--so bad she kept apologizing for so much bad news! Your interpretation sounds much milder (and therefore nicer!) I like that it will only last for several hours, especially. Hm. Quite a contrast. I think I'll take your explanation! :)

4. if someone else

sees additional aspects for the 7th, I hope they will post them. I'm not a professional like some of the astrologers who post on this forum. I suspect it's the T-square that's giving off the global fingernails-on-a-blackboard vibe that's happening now. Also Mars will oppose Uranus during August.
