Physical attributes of rising signs?
I was wondering if anyone knew of a list that gave physical descriptions of people with certain signs on the first house. For instance, I'm a Cancer rising, and I've got small (claw-like) hands.

Would a gap in the front teeth be a physical attribute of a certain sign?

1. I don't know about a space in the front teeth, but Cancer
rising folk tend to be compact, fair and possibly a bit round in the face. They can tend toward overweight, especially in later years.

2. I used to have an Astro book that gave some good
first house/ascendant descriptions. My kids ripped off all my books, so can't really help, but do a google search and I am sure something will turn up!

3. here's a link...
...about ascendants: http://www.elbertwade.com/page60.html This astrologer mentions "delicate" hands for the Cancer ascendant.

Here is another link:http://www.astrofaces.com/astrofaces/ This site is not just about ascendants, but about the Sun, Moon, and rising in relation to physical appearance. It's a fun site - you can look for people with your same placements and see if there is a resemblance.

Gap teeth? According to Rex Bills' "The Rulership Book" upper teeth are ruled by the sign of Aries. So check the sign of Aries and its ruler, Mars.

5. ...egh. Others may have a vastly different impression of that site,

but the list at that first link is...definitely not my favorite discussion of this subject. In my opinion, the astrologer missed a lot of key physical features common to my favorite ascdenant, Scorpio, including the arched, distinctly pointy eyebrows many of us Scorp rising types are blessed with. I really hate the descriptions of many of the other ascendants, too--how can you not note the oval, "equine-shaped" quality of the face of someone with Sag rising? Hello. Sorry, sofedup, I hope I didn't just rip your favorite website, but...egh.

9. Actually...

...I've found that physical descriptions of ascendants are very hit or miss, whether written by the author of the article or anyone else (like your pointy eyebrow Scorpio rising example- I have Scorpio rising and I don't have pointy eyebrows or a hawkish nose). I posted the link because the OP asked for such a list. Please feel free to post a list that you don't hate.

6. I look around on fun sites too at times, but this info here....
This astrologer mentions "delicate" hands for the Cancer ascendant.

does not at all fit my Cancer ascendant hands that I have always referred to as a farmer's, a peasant's hands - so, the opposite of delicate....:D
My hand is rather broad with fairly short, thickish fingers. :D

My daughter with Libra rising has the finest, most delicate and tiny hands.

7. I'm a Libra rising with appearance-challenged hands
My hands are smallish with shortish thickish fingers, big knuckles. The back of my hand is kind of boney. I have nice thumbs though. ;)
So based on personal experience, I don't think Libra risings are blessed with beautiful hands. However, I tend to use them when talking, and I'm not Italian.

8. I think one has to also look at
any aspects to the ASC as well.
