I would like to open the May prayer thread with the following prayer for all of the beautiful Children of Light who make this forum the amazing spiritual place that it is:

     'Child of Light Prayer' by May Rowland

     Child of Light, I bless you.
     I think of you.
     I pray for you.
     Not in terms of what I think you need or
     what I think you should do or be or express.
     I lift up my thoughts about you.

     I see you as you truly are:
     a holy child of light.

     I see you guided and directed
     by an inward spirit that leads
     you unerringly into paths
     that are just right for you.

     I see you strong and whole.
     I see you blessed and prospered.
     I see you courageous and confident.
     I see you capable and successful.
     I see you free from all limitations or bondage of any kind.
     I see you as the spiritually perfect being you truly are.

     Child of Light, I bless you.


In this spirit, I ask that this thread be blessed by all of the sacred beings that work in the light and ask that their light be directed towards all requests made in this thread so that the energy that we put into it will be amplified and purified. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)


Finally, I place the energy of the Archangel Raphael into this thread. 'Raphael' means "God Heals", and he can be called upon to assist with any kind of pain, whether physical, emotional, romantic, intellectual or spiritual.

1. Monday focus: Iraq

Please focus on sending healing energies and light to the country of Iraq, her government, her people, and to those forces who are engaged in a war on her soil. Pray/meditate/send energy especially to the children of Iraq, many of whom have been left orphans, those who have been injured, and those whose lives will always be a challenge because of this war. Ask the universe to transmute the effect of the depleted uranium which is used to make bombs, shells, armored military vehicles and other weapons of war.

3. I am finally having the colonoscopy Wednesday morning

The ultrasounds did not show any fibroids that could be causing the pain, so I am going on to the next thing.
The pain has increased quite abit, so I appreciate whatever good thoughts which might be sent my way.
Lucky for me, they had a cancellation and I won't have to wait 2 weeks.
I have lime jello, limeade, chicken broth and a half gallon of Halflyte to drink...

4. Having been through this, I can tell you that the worst part is

drinking that stuff. My doctor used a different method: taking 2 laxatives during the day then drinking 4 bottles of phosphate soda. I was squeaky clean the next a.m. They'll probably give you an IV sedative which put me under and when I woke up, it was all done.

Whatever you've got, I hope it is easily and painlessly treatable. Am sending healing and light your way.

Yes, the procedure itself is a breeze compared to the halflyte. (But if you take a hit of the halflyte, then quick take a spoon of jello, it is tolerable.)

And on the day of the procedure you get a mild happy drug, so life is good.

And she's a total wuss about discomfort, especially if it's augmented by fears about potential serious health issues, so if she can get through it, I have high hopes for you. It's a hassle, but it's also extremely important, which, obviously, you know. I will be sure to fire up a healing meditation candle for you later this week.

9. Try not to worry about the colonoscopy. The prep is much

worse than the test (YUCK!!!) In our hospital, they put you into a twilight state to the do the procedure. Before surgery, I went in for the Barium enema test and the radiologist asked why my doc hadn't prescribed the colonoscopy instead. I asked why and he said that the barium was painful and they couldn't knock me out. I didn't have any problem with the barium test. While it was uncomfortable, I was wide awake and was not in any pain. If I ever have to do it again, I *WILL* remember to request the colonoscopy instead. ;)

32. Update: All done, results possibly Friday

I have been taking it easy today. They took several biopsies and hopefully we will find out what is going on.
The nurses were like angels, and the doctor was pretty top notch as well.

7. Could someone pray for the return of one of my cats?

She's actually my roommate's cat, an indoor/outdoor pet, and when my roommate left for vacation last week, she disappeared. No one can find her. It's a big property, sure, (1.5 acres, woodland) but not so big that we can't find a cat when one of them periodically takes off. It's been almost five days and she is just gone. She hasn't wandered off for anywhere for this long this since we got her last fall. We've checked everywhere, and we can't even hear her meows. It's very strange.

She's a thin, brown Siamese with black feet, black ears and a black tail, if that helps anyone visualize. Her name is Purrly. We just want her to come back to the garage, where there is clean water and organic cat chow, not to mention a lack of coyotes or other predators.

11. Woah; if anyone prayed, that was some pretty quick work, there.

She's back in our garage, eating her food and her cream. Can't imagine where she would have spirited off to or why (she's spayed and quite well taken care of here). I was worried for her both because she's a small cat, but because we told her previous owner, who died last fall, that we would take care of her. That owner was a nice, older woman who was always totally sweet to me and my roommates, so I hated the thought of having messed up our promise to her. Anyway, she's safe, now, so I'm glad. Thanks, to all who helped.

8. Feel bad asking again, but could you

send some light and prayers for me to be guided to the right treatment options. Apparently I'm in a "grey" area here with this uterine cancer. A Grade 1 stage 1x usually gets no further treatment. A grade 1 stage 2B gets radiation after surgery. I'm a grade 1 stage 2A and I'm hearing "no further treatment" from my one doc while the radiologist is saying "nuke'm 5x over 5wks". Thing is, you can only be "nuked" one time for this. So, to nuke and up the odds of no recurrence or don't and save it in case of recurrence (any recurrence lowers your 5yr survivability stats). My gut instinct is to nuke em, deal with the side effects and pray there is no recurrence.

My mind is a blur right now.

at the moment, and will be happy to light more, plus Healing and Protection candles as of tomorrow. I'm sorry you have to deal with more crap with regard to this issue. But you're a brave lady who probably knows what's best for her to get out of this "grey area" with the best chance for long-term survival. If you care what I think, I think you should take a good, solid 48-72 hours and weight the pros and cons. Then go with your gut, 'cause I believe gut instincts are usually right. And don't feel bad for using the prayer thread! That's what it's hear for.

I'm so sorry that you're still going through this. I ask that the Universe give you the guidance that you need to make the correct decisions in reference to your treatment, and I ask that you be surrounded by love and light to help you to heal completely with no recurrences. Finally, I ask that you be given peace to be able to get through this as emotionally unscathed as possible. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

33. I don't want to abuse the privilege, but could someone pray that I find

a piece of amalite I bought a couple of weeks ago? It was on the expensive side and I don't want to go through the hassle of replacing it. As you may know, it's a yellowish, translucent stone, and mine is about a quarter of an inch in diameter and height, carved into a rough point at one end. It disappeared off my desk a few days back and I cannot find it anywhere. If anyone gets any psychic images or "hits" about where it might be, could you pass them along, or just pray that I locate it? Thanks.

Most lost objects are supposed to eventually be found in about a 20 ft radius of where they were last seen. I always comb that area very well.

The other thing that has been working for me lately, since I have been misplacing lots of things for some reason, is to ask my guide to help me locate the lost object. Usually the lost object appears in short order!

I'm sure everyone knows my situation now, and I hope to find an affordable and suitable apartment for myself - I've just started looking.

I would also ask for light to be sent to a friend of mine who witnessed a horrific accident, and tried to save a young man's life (who later died in hospital). He is a mess right now.

in this lifetime seems to have endured much more than I could ever imagine. I don't know how to help him anymore.

He has a fantastic job interview this week (if he doesn't blow it by his own ego). I don't know how to assist him anymore than I have.

He lost his car, his wife, his job. I cannot give him as much as he needs monitarily (sp). Or I should say, "I won't give much more".

guide named Kryon. It's entitled 'Kryon channelling: 14 questions', and your situation reminded me of one of the questions. Here's the information:

"Dear Spirit: I have children who are almost grown. At least they think they are. I'm losing contact with them. They don't pay attention to me anymore. I fear for them. I don't know what to do. I've been a good parent and a lightworker. I've tried to show them love, but they don't listen. I'm afraid for them as they walk into a new Earth. I don't know what they're into or what they might do. I don't know - I just don't. What can I do?"

Well, dear one, let's take first things first. Why don't you sit down and let us hug you for a while? There's nothing for you to do at this moment except to understand some spiritual dynamics. We say this, mother and father: When they were small children, you opened your jar of love and you poured it into that child. For all of these years, your jar poured and poured. Here is new information, yet intuitive. It's also ancient information and lasts forever.

Every single Human Being, as a child, has a jar that's empty, ready to be filled. Whatever the energy is of the parent around them, that jar is permanently open during childhood and will be filled with whatever energy and whatever light or dark goes on within the parent. Now, if you've filled that child's jar with white light, and if you've given them love - a responsible spiritual home - if they've been able to see how love works, then you stand clean in this. Oh, you may worry about them, and that's a typical Human fact. That's where we come in as family to help you . . . to sit next to you and hold your hand and say, "It's done. Your work is finished."

Whatever happens now is their choice, and it's the way of it. You know that. It was the same with you. But here is what you may not have known: Even after you may be gone, that child still has the free choice to reach down and open that jar and discover you! Do you understand what I'm saying? There comes a time in that child's life when they may wish to open the jar. And if they do, they'll discover the love you gave them! They'll start experiencing the memories and the responsibility issues - the things that you told them were the truth. They'll experience the now of you, the truth of what you taught, even if you're not here . . . even if you're a long way away. That is an axiom . . .a rule. It is forever.

The jar is full, and that's the way you send them out . . . prepared and ready, if they don't see it. You haven't failed. It's free choice for the child, but if they wish to open the jar, they're going to find the love that you gave them. And the beauty of this is that from your wisdom, they'll take the jar and they'll pour its contents into their children. Therefore, this is your lineage . . . that what you give a child today may be good for many generations down the line. Sometimes you only see the immediate problems and challenges, never understanding how profound you affect the energy of those who follow you. We speak in love . . . just wanting you to know and understand this . . . to capture for a moment the compassion of what may happen in a special moment with that precious soul who entrusted their childhood to you . . . when they someday open the jar.


I ask that the Universe help your son to achieve wisdom to allow him to make the correct decisions so that he can live his life with integrity. I also ask for peace for you so that you can not suffer because of his issues. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

(I really like this prayer except for the use of the word "Father". If you also find that the word "father" disturbs you, please change it to a more appropriate word for you. The word "Creator" is used in some places in the prayer; I personally prefer this word throughout.)
