5. the place of gratitude

Thanks for bringing this to us, Delphinius. The Flash work was such a pleasure to view. Very creative, whoever put that together.

I've always wondered about gratitude and its place in one's outlook on the world. My curiosity about this was piqued when my father once remarked to me, "You're always so grateful for everything you have." He found this puzzling. He seemed curious about why I didn't want more.

My point is that gratitude is not something we talk much about at all in this culture. We talk a little about it at Thanksgiving, but is "giving thanks" all there is to gratitude?

Just yesterday in meditation I saw a sequence of images like this with a "sigil" that kept spinning toward me. I couldn't remember what the sigil was, but knew it was important - it was almost just a placeholder in the vision. I woke wondering when/if someone would produce just such a video and we'd be seeing it. This is very much like what I saw. I had no idea the subject was gratitude...

All of those minds joined in gratitude at the same time could really have an effect on the world. I know its a naive thought, but I still have hope in such things :)
