After telling my son some months ago to put the number 8 on a piece of paper and carry in his billfold - it's as if everything he touches turns to Gold.

So, since I didn't do this, as I told him too, I did this last week...and today I receive an email from my brother that lots in Florida and lots in Hawaii that my mother left to us in 1993 was worth somewhere around $60,000 total.

My God. This is unbelievable. We were going to let them go because we were tired of paying the low taxes on the properties. Property in Hawaii was covered with lava. Property in Florida is brush...and swamp but my brother got a letter from a realtor in Florida after he had been writing to every person named * Smith in the free world. (Mother's name) after marriage..

WOW...I'm FLABBERGASTED.

Write the number 8 - put it on a piece of paper....put in billfold or purse and forget about it.

And what is it about $60,000 and DUers these days? I may also be looking at an inheritance (don't ask, it's not a good situation except for the money) of approximately $60,000. Strange.
