Interesting question: has anybody had any experience with
alternative universes? I was listening to Malloy from when he was on Randi's show yesterday and he did a skit with some guy who was pretending to be Kerry as president in another alternative universe. This got me into thinking: has anybody here ever been to alternative universes? If so what is it like? How did you get there? What all did you see and/or experience?

1. Interesting topic. No joke--a friend of mine has this belief that
in December of 1999, we all slipped into an alternate universe. The world actually did end on December 31, 1999, as predicted by so many Y2K fear-mongerers.

2. Weird
Sometimes it does feel like I'm in an alternative reality. Weird feelings or something. So, according to your friend, how did we all get here?

6. According to my friend, it's almost like we wished ourselves here.
By we, he generally means "non-assholes," and people smart enough to want to oppose the neo-con influence in any alternate reality in which it existed. I know, it feels like all of the Progressive-ish folks are in hell. Maybe we were sent to a Bush-dominated reality because we were the only people interested in trying to stop Bush from destroying it.

3. Actually, this is a scientific theory that Quantum Physicists
are exploring. It seems that there are a total of eleven dimensions. We are only aware of four of them. Quantum physicists think there is a possibility of parallel universes, maybe many of them, where we all lead the same life but with different outcomes. Remember the old TV series sliders? It was based on that. In s It weirds my mind out when I read stuff like that and I have to stop.

I have been writing a story about a shamaness who has found the key to traveling astrally in the form of her totem spirit animal to these places. She doesn't see the future but many futures. Only one though is the one that will actually happen. She can change the future by warning the principals of what may happen to them if they don't change a course they have taken.

Although, I know I am writing fiction, there is a lot of scientific inquiry out there about the same things.

5. Sounds like a great story!
I'd love to read it when you're done! I remember one time I woke up about a few months ago and I felt like I was in the wrong place. As I went about the morning I "snapped" back. Also, sometime this past year I saw on Discovery Times an interesting show about different levels of our universe that you talk about and I remember the special saying our time frame was the only one with time like we know it. In the other places their day could be several years here which is true from my experiences with spirits and the afterlife. I'm still not used to time here but I'm getting there.
