Brand New Baby Boy joined us today...

My best friend had her baby this morning, at home in the birthing tub... 6:10am PDT 20in long, 7lbs 1 oz (Dad is a chiropractor, and she is a great and spiritual hippie momma)

I have to say I am ecstatic for the family and touched at the core. :loveya: It is really an amazing thing that a shining soul would choose to come and join us here on the planet at this stage of the game. Let's pray that we can give him and all other babies born today a world worth living in!

I've never felt very comfortable with little babies...but this event touches me on a whole different level.

My hysterectomy is slated for next monday, and none of my birth experiences were very positive or easy... maybe witnessing this and feeling so much love is part of my own healing and release of that stigma...that even if my babies didn't have a perfect birth, they are still loved well...

4. Indeed, FL. Just did a

report on the seven-billionth baby expected to be born tomorrow, and all the increasing problems the world faces on top of its large population - "unless," the reporter ended, "the rest of us make room for the seven billionth baby in a more hospitable world."

It was just nice to hear that making this world a better place is on everybody's mind :grouphug:
