Question for Rick
Can you explain firdaria? I have a computer program that computes it for me, and I notice that with a couple of my friends, they have nothing much in this lifetime! Most of the firdaria is off in the future, like in a succeeding life. Is this possible? One is my ex-daughter-in-law, who died on May 9, 2009 - her firdaria begins on May 14 with aspects to her sun.
Mine and my husbands more or less coincides with our lifetime, but I have a good friend who is a bit older than me (I'm 61 in a month) and his firdaria doesn't begin until 2009. This is probably a silly question, but is there some reason for this?

Thanks

1. The program I'm using is
Kairon. It is a mac-based astrology program, professional, and it computes the firdaria from the time of birth, place, etc.

2. I'm sorry
I've heard a bit about it, but I really know nothing about it.
Good luck.

3. OK - thanks
I was fooling around with some of the programs eccentric offerings, and found this rather interesting, but there isn't much out there on it.

http://firdaria.com/method.php

Apparently firdaria is a technique resurrected from medieval astrology, in which a sequence of planetary periods is assigned to the years of your life. It goes throughout the life. The "firdar" is the period you must be referring to, the planetary period of the ruler of your sun sign, or planets exalted in the sign, during which the most significant things are supposed to happen. For instance, I am an Aries, so my fidars are Mars and the Sun. Since I am a day birth, the Sun starts the sequence of planetary periods, so my first firdar happened the first 10 years of my life. I did get some special recognition in my 11th and 12th years, but not in my first 10 that I recall. I don't find the system that resonant with what I know at first glance. For me the Vedic dasas, a similar but differently derived system, is much more accurate.

Hope this helps! Isn't it fun to experiment?
