Question, what is the personality of Earth's energies?
Astrologically speaking..

If Pluto says- get it done- Uranus is wild, etc.

What is the general energy that Earth sends out to the universe??

We are always concentrating on the OTHER planets signals, or power...

What kind of power and energy does Gaia send out??

Not asking about what is happening now...I mean in general..

Or is this an ignorant question??

1. WHAT an interesting question.
If we were living on the Moon, or on Mars, or on any other planet in our Solar System, how would Earth behave in our horoscopes.

Better yet, if some day we humans colonize the Moon or any planets, how will astrologers do the horoscopes of children born off-planet?

4. So much Love, Hate, and Fear
regularly pervades our world. Why would anything else have much of a chance to exist energy wise? There are many subsets to all of those emotions.

I imagine our hate and fear do a great deal of damage to the universe. A butterfly effect to end all BE's!

However, if LOVE becomes the only thing/energy, driving our planet... then only good, powerful energies are likey to transcend to the universe. I'd really like to imagine this wonderful scenario.

There are so many thoughts spiraling in my head about this, I don't know where to begin, and I'm wondering why I thought of it in the first place...

6. ohh! I know! :)
There was a really fascinating thread about John Lash
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=245x142923

the sophia/gaia connection is really interesting...I spent the better part of a day reading most of the site...

I love the creation story, how sophia was one of the 'Aeons,' projections of the Singularity who danced and procreated in divine tantra and created the cosmos...as the milky way was unfurling, she got drawn into the beauty of her creation, and fell in...then she awoke as she was spinning and forming into a planet...earth.

i don;t do the story proper justice, and i believe Lash was drawing the story from the Nag Hammadi, gnostic gospels... really a good read.

there's a link in my sig line as well to the site.

7. Okay, so I'm not an astrologer, and I only know a little
bit about the field. I'm simply trying to think about this rationally. Here on Earth, Mars has certain influences, and it matters how it's related to all the other planets, the moon, and the sun, and various other aspects of the horoscope. So, if instead we are on Mars, that Mars influence may not really exist anymore, but now Earth is in the sky, and it matters.

It does seem to me as though a lot of astrology has been developed by trial and error, and I sort of suspect the same thing may need to happen once we humans are off Earth.

9. In any chart
if one wishes to locate the Earth's placement, even though we are on its surface, it would always be directly opposed the Sun.

That could illustrate why Solar oppositions can be present in many really intense interpersonal relationships.

Heliocentric astrology does include the Earth's placement, but I'm not a real Solar type and that approach has just never appealed to me.

As to the energy of Gaia, I agree that it would depend on the perspective, terrestrial or otherwise.

just guessing.

10. It is so very interesting, but
I'm thinking that energy is energy, whether or not we humans are the recipients of it.

I am wondering if because we have life and humans, our power becomes part of a different category.

Could it be that our soulful power with the good, the bad and the ugly has actually "directed"
the planets in their powerful dances across our Milky Way? That maybe our Human "Touch" has fueled everything, or at the very least been responsible for the way the planets have effected us in "return" What goes out must come back, like a Boomerang.

I don't know, my head is spinning with possibilities...

11. kimmers, do you consider the Earth (Gaia) to be a being in and of itself...
separate from humanity? Do you consider the Earth to have a soul which is evolving? Do you consider the Earth to have had a choice as to whether she initially allowed (and continues to allow) humans to incarnate on her?

Have you ever looked into Theosophy or the Ascended Masters material? This material is a branch of esotericism that you may have never examined and might find to be of interest.

:)

13. I think all of it is quite possible.
I may have glanced at Theo and AM, but these kind of subjects fascinate me endlessly. I guess we may never really know, but I love to hypothesize.

12. Taurus
Edited on Sun Aug-07-11 03:21 PM by Ricochet21
Since in my new book I am proposing Earth as the 100% ruler of Taurus instead of any credence to Venus, I deduce that Earth would be very much like Taureans. Rich, fertile, sensuous, etc.

I have crawled way out on a limb here, but I am convinced by how many Taureans must have a garden, love to dig in the earth, etc.

Only time will tell. A beautiful blue orb floating in a dark universe, amazing.
Now, somehow, I have to figure how this all fits into a readable tropical chart even if the earth's symbol is opposite your "sun sign"

I do separate the Earth from the people who live on it. Again, how egocentered we are.
What if bugs lived on Neptune. Would they be spaced out? What was the earth like before people? All races, it seems, make war against each other somehow. More Aquarian ideas and questions. This stuff will drive you nuts.

And, we realized that if a baby were to be born halfway back from the Moon on a shuttle or so, the RISING sign would have to do with what direction the shuttle was rotated to at the exact moment of birth. Wild.

Great question and debate.

14. Yes, what WAS Earth like before we came?
It could be as simple as Earth was just a new mother, without the worries of "am I doing this right?"

Is there a common demoninator when opposites occur from the "Sun Sign"?

Totally interesting about the Taurus/Earth connection.

Oh, yes, these questions/ideas could drive one nuts, but to tell you the truth, I LOVE IT!

 But U knew that!

15. When you say "am I doing this right?"...
do you mean that you think that it might be possible that Earth holds at least some responsibility for the mess that currently exists?

If so, my feeling has always been that Earth has been a victim of what we humans have done. The Ascended Masters material states that each soul was supposed to only incarnate a few times to experience this existence and then move on to other experiences. However, a decision was made by the Cosmic PTB to move to Earth some other souls who were not yet ready to evolve with their planet. They were known as the laggards, and nothing was the same from that point on. :(

My heart hurts so much for our mother who suffers so because of us.

By the way, kimmers, if I did indeed understand you correctly, please don't think that I'm at all criticizing what you said; it's an interesting idea and all ideas deserve to be discussed. In that spirit, I just wanted to say that I personally feel very strongly that she's done nothing but sacrifice herself and delay her own soul's evolution while waiting for us to "grow up", and that she bears no responsibility for this mess. I understand that others may feel differently.

17. No Worries.
Earth was perfect before we went awry. Humans are totally responsible for the demise..I couldn't agree with u more. I meant that Earth was a new mother, with no worries..why worry about perfection...very interesting about the laggards.. I must further my reading.

16. I think Gaia is an appropriate story.
Edited on Sun Aug-07-11 07:48 PM by Melissa G
If we rely on the ancients for all the other stories, why not this one as well? There are relatively congruent earth mother stories from all over the world. Just like Mars, Merc, Venus, etc stories...
