Need help

Bad week. Really bad. Aunt's funeral yesterday. Bank account down to zilch because of car repairs. Now my kitty, my familiar, is sick (discolored urine) and because of her age I can't help but fear the worst (going to the vet in a few hours). Really losing it here. Please help. :grouphug:

I hear ya! I've had this same week you're having LAST week. Right down to my old lady dog who may have something wrong with her but she's too old to do anything about it. We thought we were going to have to move unexpectedly and then I lost my job unexpectedly. It took me DAYS to mentally recover. But I did. And you will too. Clear your energy, and then protect/shield yourself. Now that I can see a bit clearer, I know it was the Universe trying to move me to where I am supposed to be, and where I'm NOT supposed to be regarding my job. Try to breathe too, slowly in and out. There's SO much chaotic energy floating around it's a wonder we all aren't nuts. Hang in there...the only way around it is through it. BTW, I typed up the energy clearing and protection technique I use for another friend last night. Let me know if you want me to send it to you. :pals:

14. Yep, she's a clown and a snuggle monster

Ever try writing an entire novel wearing a kitteh scarf? Every time she hears me typing on my laptop, she appears out of nowhere and drapes herself across my neck. Extra fun! That's why most of the time I end up sitting on a stool at the kitchen island. Otherwise I'd never get anything done.

15. Please give the kitty some plain yogurt

If it's a minor bladder problem, the yogurt could help.

My veterinarian told my to give the cats about a tablespoon each of plain low fat yogurt a day if they showed signs of bladder distress. It's worked like a charm for both of my cats for years.

Even if your dear kitty's problem is more serious, which it sounds like, the yogurt can't hurt.

20. Update: cautiously optimistic

Jasmine's bloodwork is clean and her kidneys "feel" normal to the vet. Speculating that it's more likely a UTI or kidney stones than renal failure, but need to get a urine sample to be sure. She didn't pee at the vet and hasn't peed at home yet either. Still watching.

If it turns out that it's kidney stones, I will feel SOOOO guilty, because that means she's taking on my illness--again (yep, she's done it before).

Anyway, fingers crossed that the urine sample (when she finally decides to share one) will also reveal nothing serious.

As always, y'all are the BEST. Thank you so much for your good wishes, vibes, light, and love. I love you guys. I'll keep you posted. :loveya: :grouphug:

I hope she's doing better soon. Female cats seem to get over UTI much more quickly than males, so you have that going for you.

to figure out exactly what's making her urine discolored. Hoping all she needs is antibiotics, for sure.

good to hear about your kitty, and sympathies for your aunt. i think it's in the atmosphere, people being stressed terribly. as things are seemingly calming, hopefully the money situation improves (for all of us, i pray!).

28. Update 2 (Friday)

Wow, you guys are better than best! Now Jasmine's urine is clear, and even though I wasn't able to get a urine sample, it doesn't much matter. I have a call in to the vet to let them know; the way I see it, she was either suffering from dehydration (it has been viciously hot lately) or a kidney stone that passed. Either way, she's fine now. But if her urine turns a funny color again, I'll take a sample to the vet then.

Oh--and Mr. MG got paid today so we're in the black again. Phew.

Now, to color over those new gray hairs I got this week... :hi:
