Angels already (it's been 6 hours)

Just had to share! Welcomed the angels at 9 a.m. (thanks, Wovenpaint! :hi:) I wanted to use a short white pillar candle, since it has to burn for five days, but all I had were two small votive candles. I lit one and it was mostly gone by the time I had to pick MG Jr. up from school, so I went to our tiny drugstore to see what they had. Got in the car to go, turned on the radio, and it was playing "Calling All Angels"! :D

At the drugstore there were a couple of white candles, but they were all scented, which I didn't want. I did a quick circuit of the store but didn't see anything else. I was about to give up, but went to a different corner I hadn't been in (near the greeting cards) and found an entire shelf of unscented white candles in short, jelly-jar-type holders...with a picture of an angel and the label "Guardian Angel" on it! Even better, they were on sale for $1.19 each!

Got back in the car, turned on the radio, and got "This Magic Moment."
And it's only Day 1... :rofl:

9. Excellent! I am at work all day and can't help but feel their presence....

I'm excited to get home, relax and see what happens. After I greeted them this morning, my dog changed her normal routine. Every morning, she practically runs me over to get outside and stays out there while I'm getting ready for work. When I opened the back door to let her out, she just stood there at the threshold staring at me and refused to move even as I coaxed. She then went and laid on my bed (very strange for her!). I guess it's possible she knew we had visitors and wanted to stay inside with them! :hi:

I love how sensitive animals are. (Of course the presence of angels didn't stop our neurotic pisspot feline from peeing in the corner--but then again, she has no manners! :P Goddess bless Nature's Miracle spray.)

Yep, I feel a presence too--sort of like a shawl over my shoulders, if that makes any sense. Just a light touch, quite comforting. Reminds me I'm not alone.

Looking forward to dreaming too--anybody get any good dreams during their angel hosting time?

If you don't have the opportunity to get a live flower or plant with white flowers, it seems a decent substitute. (I cut some white yarrow from a crazy mess growing in my back yard.)

In all my years doing different types of spellwork, the one thing I've learned is that substitutions are just fine as long as the intent is pure. Oh--and that angels and other entities are much more forgiving than we are of ourselves, and we shouldn't get hung up on the "fear of an angry, vengeful god" that colors our perceptions when working with other beings.

So I don't see why artificial flowers should be disallowed.

I suspect the specifics are there to give some concrete ideas to those who are welcoming them but I don't think it's carved in stone and if you don't, the Angels will spit upon your house and move on. hehe

If you create a sacred space for them, they will show. That's all there is to it (IMO and IME).

15. Yes, they will! They are hanging out at my house already

So far they have helped with some rusted screws and cleaned out one third of the junk room and given me a nice day of rest where I did not have to go to the office. It is very peaceful to have them around.O8) :hug::grouphug:O8)

16. I want to share my experience, also

Angels have been here since 9 a.m., although I think they were here early. So far, one of my wishes has come to pass - my daughter was able to buy a car and thinks she has the old one sold - and that was a worry off my mind. Now the other wishes - and I have a strong belief that they will happen. It's been a good day - everything is going fine. I really appreciate their help, too.
As for the candles. I have several white votives, and I'm using those, but I don't leave it lit all the time. I used a crystal apple, but have a basket of apples nearby and will eat one of those after saying goodbye on Thursday.
For the white flower, I have a beautiful artificial flower that I'm using, because I'm allergic to flowers.
I don't think those things matter - it is the receptiveness and openness - and the thoughts that count.
I need some more takers, so if anyone wants angels on Thursday, send me a PM.
