May I (happily) ask for some good vibes for my kid?

Much to our surprise, we found out Friday that my daughter (6/5/98; 11:34 pm, Houston, TX) has qualified to apply to the National Junior Honor Roll. :woohoo:

She has to turn in an essay about service as well as other justification this Wednesday and the decision will be made very quickly (the induction ceremony is May 25). We don't know if she'll make it, but we're excited and hopeful (and I'm just a little proud of her :) !!)

17. What was really cool

was to see how many kids in her class were accepted. To know that that many young children are performing measurable community service on a regular basis, is really uplifting. And, of the 9 members of her former Girl Scout troop, 7 made it!
