Young artist Akiane Kramarik. She has to be an Indigo.
This forum was the first place I ever heard about Indigo and Crystal children. I was intrigued enough to do more research, although I remain skeptical. After all, none of the children I personally know seem especially gifted. But I had Good Morning America on briefly this morning and they had an eleven year old girl on who paints these amazing pictures. It was a very short segment, but what caught my eye was the subject matter of her paintings which were set up behind her.

The ones that really caught my eye are the first ones in each row at Age 11, Age 10, and Age 9. http://www.artakiane.com/akiane_art.htm#

There is nothing on her website (http://www.artakiane.com)about this Indigo business, except for one mention that she will appear in an indigo child documentary. Akiane credits everything to God, mentioning in her bio that she was raised atheist until her visions and painting which began at the age of 4 brought the whole family to God. I don't think it's the god of the fundies, though. She speaks constantly of God's love and that she is here to help people.

I am intrigued. If there really are a lot of these children out there, I can't wait until they are old enough to start exerting a much more powerful influence on our world. Bring it on!

It is that on this occasion we wish to speak to you of the children. It is that for many years of your earth time, your children have been arriving with the gifts as it was in the Beginning. These children inherently carry that which is the crystalline energies.

This combination of light energies is perfection Universal. These children are able to function as pure energy within their consciousness. These little Beings are coming with the abilities to see past the illusions. The abilities to travel within their consciousnesses throughout the dimensional realms. They are able to see past the illusions that are created within your third dimensional realities.

It is that these children are coming forth into this world as it is written that they must at this time. It is that they carry to you Rememberings of that which is, that which is truth, that which is the essence of Being in the reality of the One. It is that these beings who come to you in this way are emissaries o the Ancient Ways. They bring to you a reality that to you seems to be one which is new. It is that this reality is of the Beginning. It is that these children carry the vibration that brings into harmony your world and the One.

1. some of this resonates with me
I try not to invest a lot energy into the idea of Indigo Children, because I resist joining things, even ideas. But after a quick skim through the page you linked to, there were some things that resonated quite strongly for me.

We have an eight-month old son. From his very first moments he has been unnervingly alert and engaged with the environment around him. Even as a newborn, he would follow us with his eyes.

I remember saying to him shortly after his birth, "You remember everything I've ever forgotten," and I meant it, and it seemed like the most natural thing in the world for me to think.

My husband cares for our son in the afternoons, and he tells me that there are times when our boy seems to be watching something/one that is not there, and he sometimes laughs at "nothing" while staring into the middle distance. My husband also tells me that there have been moments when our son has looked at him as though he were looking right through him to the very center of all his knowledge.

There are times when I swear this baby has a halo - strangers are drawn to him whenever we are out. I took him to the market when he was a week old, and an older (not elderly) man approached us and seemed hypnotized by him, he expressed amazement at his beauty and began to weep. I was moved, and not surprised, but in retrospect the entire exchange seems highly unusual.

This little man is bound and determined to get his mouth on watches, magnets, remotes, cell phones - anything that has energy or magnets in it. He sucks and chews on his father's cell phone all the time, but ONLY the end that plugs into the charger.

His eyes are clear lake blue, but his father and I are both brown-eyed.

He has not, however, been a difficult or challenging baby by any stretch of the imagination. He sleeps and eats and has an open and fun-loving personality. He rarely fusses, and when he does it's quickly apparent what the fuss is about. He does demand things rather imperiously, such as banging his hand on a book he wants read to him.

He's a gift.

2. He is a precious gift. Thank you for sharing that.
You will have such an interesting journey watching him grow up. I don't have any children, but I keep the Indigo Children idea tucked away in my memory just in case I run into something really remarkable.

After I wrote the original post, I thought of something else I always think about with the Indigo concept--one of my favorite Bible passages, Isaiah 11:6.

"The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them.

In Christian circles, that is universally accepted to refer to Jesus' birth on the planet as an infant and the peace he will eventually bring, but who's to say there couldn't be a few other levels of meaning in the passage?
