Lately, my astral body wants to go do it's own thing at night.
For the past two weeks or so I will lie down to go to sleep and this vibration starts just as I "think" I am falling asleep. I could actually BE asleep, I am not sure. I will hover above my body, then sometimes turn perpendicular while in the air, then I wake up saying to stop it. I go back to sleep, and the same thing happens.

Earlier this evening I tried to take a nap and the familiar vibrations started but the astral body stayed put.

I really have no clue as to why this is happening or if I should encourage it in some way or try to stop it.

Does it mean anything?
Any advice is appreciated.

1. Would it help to lie on your side?
That helps me sometimes.

2. Why do you want it to stop?!?
I think this is a sign that you should follow through with, see where your AB wants to take you. Perhaps it wants to show you something important.

This past weekend at the Mystical Weekend seminar I went to this topic was discussed. Most people have trouble accomplishing this, so if it is becoming a natural thing for you I would just go for it and see what happens.

3. Follow through and tell me what happens!
I have very very clear memories of this happening to me as a child - in fact, I think it may be my earliest memory. There is no fear attached, so I think it must of been fairly routine and not scary. But yes - the vibration, then a spinning sensation, then open my eyes and look down and see myself lying on the bed. I've been unable to recreate it in the past 40 odd years though!

5. Encourage it!
If it's that persistent, then it's something you need to let happen.

Hey, people pay good money to try to learn how to do what your soul wants to do naturally--! :)

6. Actually, I HAVE been sleeping on my back lately
I still have the continuing knee issue so sleeping on my back is the best position so I don't have problems with it.
You know the weight of one knee on the other when on my side, etc.

When I was sleeping on my side during a nap, my astral arm (I had thought it was my actual arm) was up in the air in an attempt to move to my back for what seemed like forever. If it had been in REAL time, I am sure I would have dropped it. When my alarm went off, my arm was at my side and felt no fatigue in my arm, which surprised me.

Something in the back of my mind is telling me to experience this, but I guess I am a tad afraid.
I did not ask for this nor do I know how to make the best of it.

I have left my body before, but it was many, many years ago. I do not recall the vibrations at that time.

Is it possible to direct it to do some good for people when it is happening?
I don't want to waste it on "just an out of the body experience". I already know I am NOT my body from my first OBE 40 years ago.

I admit I am a little stressed out with my job, but that never caused an OBE.

7. Have you tried sleeping on your side with a pillow between your
knees? I've been having a lower back issue and this seems to help with it. Might help with your knee problem. You'd be surprised at how comfortable it is.

8. Yes, I have a king sized pillow I use
I may have to get a thicker more dense pillow because I am not getting the relief I had before the knee was replaced. I am not sure why. I also find that over the course of the night with my knee bent causes it not to want to straighten out easily. That is why I have been sleeping on my back more. I do use the pillow under my leg while in that position so it doesn't turn to the side.

Yeah, I think I will try to find myself a better pillow...one not as mushy.
Thanks japple!
