1. Thank Goodness for Rick.
He got us all squared away 2Design.:hi:
Still.. unless you are a professional there is alot of nuance as well as math to astrology that is really complicated and down right confusing.

2. I don't use the Sidereal system - most Westerners use tropical I think
I'm sure Rick will have something else to say about it :)

3. Exactly
apples and oranges
I don't know who "released" this confusion. It raises its head every few years and has no validity.

4. HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED
Edited on Thu Jan-13-11 08:53 PM by Ricochet21
Apparently two things got confused (Jupiter conjunct Uranus) and one of those has two parts.
FIRST STORY:

There are 2 different zodiacs. Tropical (Astrology) and Sidereal (Astronomical)
They WERE together 2,000 years ago and will not coincide again until 26,500

SECOND STORY:
Ophiucus is called the "13th CONSTELLATION" that lies between Scorpio and Sagittarius. And, it overlaps each. Some "astrologers" have for years tried to INSERT it as a 13th sign.

not
no

not gonna happen, doesn't work. Astrology is a magical system based on the NUMBER 12, 13 doesn't work in this system. The reason it's based on 12 is because, IMHO, 3 x 4 = 12 and the really reliance is upon 3 and 4.

see: http://www.starself.com/newsletter41.html

for my newsletter on Ophiucus

a bunch of stuff stirred up over little :hi:

5. Do you see how Ophiucus overlaps Scorpio and Sag?

Today's "dates" are trying to insert it between 2 real zodiac signs.
