4. Here's what I have:

For different reasons, I'm leaning toward 12 words for a design using words to convey the world we CHOOSE to create and inhabit.

One will be more spiritual, the other more secular. There is overlap, of course. :)

Here are more spiritually-oriented words:

Maybe that can take the place of one of the secular words (as that is a buzz word that often separates progressives from teabagger types). Perhaps it could replace Progress, but progress is a word that often separates us as well...lol. Hmmmm......

Also, how do you guys envision the difference between "kindness" and "compassion" -- or do you?

5. Fearless

Free thought, non-condemning, FEARLESS!

The Universe won't get me, I'll trip over my own feet fearing it will however. I am now striving for fearless spirituality, not there yet, but it's my image of being free to actually be spiritual (by gradually casting off the fear of the spiritual).

7. These ideas aren't necessarily appropriate for your list...

but I wanted to just go with the idea of describing my view of spirituality. Here are a few in addition to what you already have:

integrity
honor
courage
inclusiveness


I personally feel that empathy is more spiritual than compassion. (Just my own understanding of the words.)

I think that kindness and compassion are completely different, although equally wonderful.

That's huge to me...a personal "buzzword" for the last couple of years.

On edit: I like Integrity more than Responsibility. It says so much more. To me, having Integrity includes taking responsibility for one's actions, as well as other values. Cool. Thanks for that, IHAD. :hug:

12. Expansion. It looks funny on its own.

But it seems to combine all of the words above into one heady experience that is breathtaking and feels incredibly energetic but a little calming at the same time, that it takes a few moments, days, months sometimes to figure exactly what the message(s) are that was just downloaded - for lack of a better word, or integrated. Many times, I feel like I may just explode with an overwhelming sense of Oneness and Love and it can last for days as a real emotional state.
Lord, that sounds like a lot of blah, blah, blah :D but there it is, hard to express.

it's a way of acknowledging that for my soul to find connection with the universe, my ego (and human fear) must surrender.
