The Philosophy of Spiritualism
"The following Declaration of Principles is published to the world, not as a creed binding on the conscious of the individual, but as the consensus of a very large majority of Spiritualists on the fundamental teachings of Spiritualism:

1. We believe in Infinite Intelligence.

2. We believe that the phenomena of Nature, both physical and spiritual, are the expression of Infinite Intelligence.

3. We affirm that a correct understanding of such expression and living in accordance therewith, constitute true religion.

4. We affirm that the existence and personal identity of the individual continue after the change called death.

5. We affirm that communication with the so-called dead is a fact, scientifically proven by the phenomena of Spiritualism.

6. We believe that the highest morality is contained in the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

7. We affirm the moral responsibility of individuals, and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey Nature’s physical and spiritual laws.

8. We affirm that the doorway to reformation is never closed against any human soul here or hereafter.

9. We affirm that the precepts of Prophecy and Healing are Divine attributes proven through Mediumship."

3. Indeed, we had a sighting of my uncle last week.
It was during a family prayer of thanksgiving and one of my sisters spotted my beloved uncle leaning on the doorway to my parent's room just checking us out. Another sister saw him when the other said his name in total shock, but I didn't :( As soon as he realized that he was spotted, he smiled, turn around and walked away. Both of them were up on their feet after him calling out, Uncle Francis, wait. What a commotion.

I'm kinda jealous but it was such a treat for them and the joy did spread to all of us. Nice to know that he stops by every now and again.

4. that's really nice. how old are your sisters?
i mean, are they little kids or adults?
i saw my grandmother's sister when i was about five years old--haven't actually "seen" the spirit of someone since then (but it really freaked me out at the time)

my friend's granddaughter sees spirits rather frequently. so i'm wondering if your sisters are kids.

6. Aww, they're all grown women.
:hi: But one of their daughters has been exhibiting precognitive skills since she could talk, always knowing who is going to call, always knowing when her dad would be home late and why  She really stunned us when she was very young - about 4years old, she's now 9 - when she was very angry at her cousin who is 3years old, saying that the older girl promised they'd come together but she left her and had to wait to join her mommy. My sister said the older girl told her, I had to go, my mom needed me right away. Indeed she did, this sister was in a terrible spot before she was pregnant and this child has been a godsend. I can't imagine what my sister would be like today if this child wasn't in her life to balance it.
