Music is Love or 528 hz
Wow,

Although I have only heard a small fraction from various sites, I have just learned about the sacred geometry of musical frequencies, something new for me to explore and I thought I would share a website, probably many more, out there, of course. If any of you have bought any frequency recordings, which company or product was the best? Did you feel a different after listening to it/them? This is so cool, and another path to healing and enlightenment!

1. Well, that goes in my bookmark file! :)
And I have more for you in a bit ;)
Yours is different from what I've seen as they put the concepts into a visual format.

I know about sound causing different feelings, not just, of course a good song or instrumental, but what's often called "sacred music". It's not just for the particular spiritual beliefs but also to evoke, and many times it's written in a way to evoke more than just the positive emotions. Sound can cause a person to have spiritual experiences.

I read Jonathan Goldman's book "Healing Sounds" and from the instruction within, taught myself to do overtone singing, also called "throat-singing" and "Tuvan Throat Singing". Hit the right harmonics and it does more than just make you feel good about getting it right ;)

I know he's made connections to sacred geometry, but that might only be within the book, so we'll see if I have any links here on his music and sacred geometry. Here's what I've got for you to sift through for now:

http://www.spiritofmaat.com/archive/jan4/prns/williams.htm
http://www.dreamweaving.com/dwasacrd.htm

You might also want to look into cymatics:

And finally, I beautiful little book I use for reference: Sacred Geometry by Miranda Lundy

3. Thanks Kentauros!
Singing therapy is something I've always wanted to explore as a possible side income. I have a decent voice and it always reaches in and touches my soul to wail in certain tones, but there is so much more to investigate! Thanks, again!

15. Sound can cause a person to have spiritual experiences
No doubt in my mind about this.Had a full on Kundalini rising at a Dave Mathews concert once.Several friends that were with me at that show also seem to have had a kundalini awakening.I don't think they realized what happened at the time but several started doing yoga shortly afterword.A couple have even taken classes to become yoga teachers. In case you guys didn't realize this,DMB incorporates a lot of tantrics in his songs.Eh Hee and Patella Naga Pampa, two of his songs, are straight up tantric mantras.A couple of other songs also have them in the lyrics.
Have also had spiritual experiences at other concerts.Especially when combined with shrooms. Its hard to explain what happens so yall just gonna have to take my word on it.

Then there are the hindu and bugghist chants, mantras and Tantras.Their specific purpose is to bring about such experiences. Beware using them, though.Especially without a teacher or guide. They can really cause problems if not used without a guide.

2. so I just went to the site
and it is all really intriguing. I know that chanting is my favorite meditation practice. But now actual soundings to increase the vibration really excites me with the possibilities.

4. Hi guys, my husband has done a lot of research on this....
and wanted to share his "2 cents" should it be of interest to anyone. So I'll paste below:

I have experimented with a variety of meditation music and sounds. The ones that affect me the most are the ones that use binaural beats, where two different complimentary rhythms or frequencies are played through your head phones, one to each ear. The idea is that the two frequencies "sync" into a third, which the brain entrains to. This is supposed to encourage/invoke certain brainwave states, some that are supposed to emulate specific meditative states (delta, theta, etc). The ones I have found most effective are listed below. I should also say, it seems that different entrainments are more effective from time to time, depending on my current activities, so I tend to rotate through the ones I have. I keep a whole library of tracks on my iPod, so I can select whatever I'm currently in the mood for. Here are a few references:

Interesting albums I have:
Dr. Jeffrey Thompson's Gamma Meditation System 2.0, especially the Connecting to the Infinite track
Hemi-Sync Meditation, Monroe Products - I like this one because it is ALL hemi-sync "white noise" for 45 minutes, like ocean sounds, no music, more satisfying as a meditation rather than listening to music
Anything by Anugama, like Healing, Peaceful Relaxation Ocean, or especially Shamanic Dreaming

Web Sites:
http://www.healingbeats.com - I get frequent newsletter-type emails with meditation tracks sometimes. Recently started charging for tracks though
http://uazu.net/sbagen - This is software (Windows and MacOS) that allows you to add your own binaural beats to your music tracks, I haven't scratched the surface on this one yet
http://www.eocinstitute.org - Another interesting site, but commercial
http://www.immrama.org - this is another interesting commercial one, sounds promising, but I need to work a purchase into my budget.

In searching for other sites/sources, I have discovered you really have to be careful about "claims" sites make about the effectiveness of their meditations. Some make some pretty wild statements about their products, but them charge a lot for their tracks. I prefer sites that give you at least a minute or two sample, and I especially like when I can find their CDs on iTunes, where I can browse and listen as well. My two cents...

Doug

5. You ought to ask your husband to get an account here,
because there's at least a few of us that could get into some long discussion on this subject ;)

Thanks for the links, too. I'll have to try the SBaGen software. I've used both the freeware on they BWGen site and I have a copy of Cool Edit Pro, a sound-editing program that allows you to add binaural beats to anything. It was bought out by Adobe some years back and turned into Adobe Audition, but I'm sticking with Cool Edit (because I am familiar with the program and Audition costs three times as much.)

I've taken the gateway series years and years ago when it was only available on tape. When I'm working again, I'll get the CD-set from the Monroe Institute as I'd like to try it again. They've licensed out the technology, at least for those that want to have "Hemi-Sync" but there are other producers of binaural beats, too. Centerpointe produces Holosync for example, though it's expensive.

Here are more links, for Doug and everyone else :D

8. Interesting. 500Hz is the region the male singing voice can be made to stand out
and where rock guitars may be made to have weight. Depending upon certain factors, of course.

And thank you for posting them :) I've only used the Monroe tapes and had my first conscious out of body listening to it.

11. oh, my. The first one was really a trip.
Fell asleep with headphones on listening to the tape. I "awoke" to the sound of jackhammers in the middle of the night. I repeatedly awoke to this sound and fell asleep again. So I'm lying in bed trying to decide whether to tell the city crew to cut it out but then decided they're only doing their job.

While thinking about whether to just get up and do something else, the jackhammering got fainter and fainter, like they moved way down the street. I don't know when it it me that my body was moving to the rhythm of the hammering and I remembered the tape and realized that the sound was me snoring away. This was cool. I tried not to be afraid and just listen. I remember wondering where "I" was and chuckled because it was the first time I believed my sister who'd always said I snored :D

Anyway, I was able to get up during other attempts but wound up on the ceiling or slammed on to the wall. That's frightening willing yourself to calm down. Another attempt and woke up in the body totally unable to move, complete paralysis. That was the most frightening. I prayed like never before until I cried myself to sleep and woke up just fine.

Other attempts and I was able to walk around but couldn't see a thing, just dense fog-like light. I finally found out that I had to tell the astral eyes to kick in.

My last conscious one, I walked as far as my backyard door. It was dark outside and I was too scared to venture out.

12. You've done better than I for conscious OBEs ;)
That was funny about the 'jackhammers'. So, when you snore, it's not the sawing of logs, it's the jackhammering of concrete? :P

I've had plenty of unconscious ones, just having to take whatever happens and whenever it happens without my making it so. Even so, I still haven't had anything like Robert Monroe's outings. The ones he had in the beginning of his journeys are more than I've gotten. At best, I've gone down the street a bit, but most times I'm stuck in my room or around my home.

Getting through walls isn't too difficult, really. You may need to visualize the process before you go OBE again. At the prodding of MagicMuffin, I'm going to attempt to write about visualization in my next blog post. She liked my post on being a centaur as a good example on visualization. There's a lot more to it than just 'seeing' it in your mind, and passing through walls, doors and ceilings while out of body is a good example to use :)

Although I'm bad about recording all of my OBEs, I try to do so when I have them. You should do the same and get as much detail into your OBE journal as you can. It helps in later outings, not just in remembering the details but in getting a more detailed OBE. Kind of like when you keep a dream journal... :)

13. Yeah, Kentauros, I prefer the unconscious ones
I've kind of accepted that it's so hard for me to get over the fear of who or what I might meet and am stuck around my home. I mean no amount of prayers or surrounding myself in White Light helps. So I do more lucid dreaming to ease my way out and I can pretend that I'm not OBEing. Because I'm sure the state of mind -fear, in my case- has a lot to do with what the experience might be.

Yes, my snoring was like jackhammering on concrete :( It wasn't until my husband actually taped me - TAPED ME - that I got some help.

Can I PM you to get your blog address?

14. One thing that has helped me get over the fear
is to ask for 'help'. Basically just say while you're out "Help me". Usually the fear melts away at that point, at least in my experience, though the first time I got 'help' it caused more fear. That is, the help came in the form of a very tanned arm and hand through a golden portal of energy in my ceiling. I did not feel fear from whomever that was, only from my own fear of the unknown, so I let go of his hand. After that, all 'help' was not visual, just the feeling that I was all right and could get out and about as I pleased.

I've actually posted my blog address here in the open already, and don't mind doing so again. I've got comments moderated, so if any of ASAH's "monitors" feel like posting something antagonistic, it won't get through my filters ;)

16. Now, that's a good idea.
Interesting. Asking for help first before waiting for the need to do so. And it just might bring guidance and not so much being left on ones own as I've experienced. I'm starting to look forward to experimenting again. Thanks!

Your site is - I hesitate to say - lovely, since you're a guy and all. Very soothing and, of course, my favorite color :) It's so cool that many ASAHers are creating blogs, especially you. I have never heard of this experience before yours and you're mighty brave to put it out there. All that is ever needed is one person to get others to come out of hiding about a similar centaur experience. It really does give me some courage to try the same.

17. Thank you, KoB :)
Although the theme is ready-made by WordPress, I liked it the best of what they had to offer. Teal is a favorite color and this one is close to that :)

Another friend on a different site liked the 'otherkin' label as it made sense to her and her own spiritual feelings with a similar connection. I think hers is to elves, so not the same mythology going on. But, otherkin covers a broad spectrum. Places like here and other spiritual forums are some of the best places to discuss the topic. Elsewhere you open yourself up to even more ridicule, such as those few on DU that identify as "furry".

I'm glad we brought up the topic of OBEs again and I could offer my help and experiences. For ages I was out of touch with them, either having none or nothing to speak of. I'm still kind of in a 'desert' of such experiences now, but I do hope to get the home-Gateway set again and start anew. I'll be sure to blog about it when it happens ;)

MorningGlow got me thinking about doing a blog the most and she's also on WordPress. I recommend them highly, mainly because I have seen some really fine-looking and well-written blogs on them. You can sign up and look through the themes, but that doesn't mean you have to build a blog at that point. However, you may find yourself doing so anyway... ;)

18. Found it!
I wonder if your friend has seen this documentary http://www.thefairyfaith.com/ by filmmaker John Walker, who I think has passed away. If you haven't seen it, the film is a lot of history and interviews of people who claim to have seen elves, made in Ireland, maybe Scotland as well.

I happened upon it one day a few years ago and I've been waiting for it to come back on, but no such luck. I'm gonna have to break down and buy it.

You can't help but believe the eyewitnesses. I'm glad Walker was brave enough to take them seriously and make this film.

She's a native of England (still there, too) and may have heard of the film. I'm surprised it's only available on VHS though. DVDs are cheaper to make. Thanks for finding it :D

I remember seeing part of the movie "Photographing Fairies". Have you heard of that one? It was fictional, but interesting :)

7. You might be able to experience some of this at work, too.
Somewhere around here I've got a CD of Hemi-Sync for "Alertness", meant to be used with headphones while you work. I've used it with limited success, but maybe it works better for other people; I don't know.

I just did a search on YouTube, so if you can watch/listen to that at work, you can experience it now :)
