Tattoo symbolism
I'm not personally an ink enthusiast, but I thought that some people here might find this symbolic resource interesting:

http://www.tattoo-symbolism.com

I think that this is a work in progress, so new things should be added over time.

2. this is mine:

Supposed to be the symbol for "Goddess" ... its on my right shoulder, as in "Goddess is watching over my shoulder/looking out for me" :-) I got it on my 35th birthday.

3. I love her sites....

Really, really love them. :)

I don't have a pic of my tattoo on my computer any more; well, not on one that works anyway. ;)

I never thought I'd get one, but it was a present to myself for my 40th birthday and has a very magickal story behind it.

I was visiting friends in Montreal and had a stigmata-like experience. No kidding.

Suddenly, when gathered with dear friends, one of them noticed something on my left arm. It was in the shape of a Celtic -- equilateral -- cross. We never could find an explanation for it.

Very odd...but very cool!

At that same time, I was also very focused on Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene, and had a dream that my womb was filled with white roses. Oh, earlier the day of the cross appearing on my arm, we had visited a shrine in the countryside, devoted to Mother Mary.

White doesn't work well for tattoos, so I have a replica of the cross with a red rose in the center on my left upper arm. :)

7. Potty mouth doesn't matter. Actions and intentions matter.
It's OK; I know that you're never going to see yourself the way I and many others see you. Humility is also a sign of holiness. ;)

4. Awesome site!!
I'm not into tattoos either, but it would be pretty cool to have clearing symbols all over you at all times!! Maybe wouldn't need the head pyramid.

8. That's a very cool site.
I wonder what my tat symbolizes? It's a bluebird, and not on the site.

I didn't choose it for a symbol. I chose to get a tat when I was 15 as a hidden rebellion against my mother, and the bluebird seemed peaceful. Something I could always live with, and not regret.

Obvious teenage angst, wanting something peaceful as a way to rebel, but keeping the rebellion hidden.
