Poll question: Wednesday July 7, 2010: PEMS Scale Poll :)
Every day I wonder about whether whatever I'm feeling, before the day even really begins, is in alignment with what others are feeling. I'm very interested in getting a bigger picture of how others are feeling or what is being experienced as a collective.

I forgot that we can do polls here at ASAH. So, I may do a daily poll here...and expand it into other sites to get others involved as well. Then again, I may be the only person interested in such a thing. ;) That's okay, too; please don't ever feel bad about not engaging in whatever I'm posting here. :hi:

I prefer it be broken down into the categories: Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual, and have people comment on how they feel about each aspect daily, but can't technically figure out how to do this beyond multiple, separate polls. For example, I may feel okay physically but I can feel horribly mentally, etc.; hence some of the poll breakdowns below.

If anyone knows how to do this, even via a third-party widget or something, please let me know. I'm in a sinus/allergy haze and everything is fuzzy for me right now....

The poll question is simply: How do you feel today?

1. I find I'm focused on my Physical body today....

with EXTREME fatigue, mental fog (though I think part of it is allergies/sinus issues), and just lethargy. It's not new; I've felt this way for a while but it has grown to be a focus, more so than my other "bodies" (mental, emotional, spiritual).

2. I didn't really
know how to respond ... hopeless is a bit too extreme, but I am not sure of any other word that describes it right now. Overwhelmed, perhaps, with the enormity of life here on this beautiful planet. In fact, I lit a candle yesterday for all life forms, including the planet.

3. I like this idea. It made me really conscious of what I'm experiencing.
:)

4. definitely physical....
I've been running myself into the ground for a while now and not cleansing or anything.

Almost like my self destructive tendencies get a hold of me at night...that's when the kids go to bed and i have a drink and a smoke...but lately it has been more than one and I am waking up feeling polluted and foggy...

through the day I tell myself that I am going to take it easy, but by the evening i am bored and just want to 'tune out' so the cycle continues.

not having a 'real job' compounds the problem, because when i'm home during the day I can indulge in a nap, which only makes the evening time go later...so now I am going to bed at 2am, buzzed...

not sure what i am working out. but I do know that today it needs to stop. not buying any beer or wine or cigarettes for a week at least, and the green tea is coming out in force today. I hope i can stick to my better habits and not let the little addict-demon-rebelgirl win tonight.

5. I'll separate out the first two better tomorrow....
with more of a "depressed" option rather than the agitated/edgy only.

It'll be a process to get a good reflection of what we're feeling/experiencing. ;)

6. Focosed on my emotional. Dad died last night. I'm just letting whatever I feel
wash over me. I'm not suppressing anything, just letting it flow.

10. I feel like I have been pummeled neck to knees
emotionally I was not to far behind the bod today until I got to see my therapist. that at least is better after but I still just plain hurt. Part is from helping my Mother move some furniture this weekend while trying to keep her from hurting herself and her ruptured disc and osteoprosis because she just had to have this real oak end table a friend gave her that weighed a ton that we had to carry down two flights of stairs. If I had any clue what she had in mind I would have gotten my Dad's wheely dolly instead of waiting til we were in the apartment to find out the little table is fracking 3/4" oak.

13. Yeah it was dumb of me but at the moment I just wanted to keep my Mother from huritng herself
99% she is sensible but that other 1% of the time she is like her own Mother - stubborn as a mule and like to work herself into another injury. It does not help that she never lifts things right even when lifting safe weights, you know bending at the hips and knees not the waist etc. So I got mad and just hauled the thing down the stairs to her vehicle as quick as I could. It was only on the way home that I actually thought gee wiz, I should have said no let's go get Dad's dolly and some rope :banghead:!

15. I was sad and dejected yesterday, and grieving.
Looks like your results were all over the place... but we are a small sampling.
