Something odd happened in our house this morning
I wasn't sure if I should post this, but some of you might have an answer.

My husband and I share our house with two cats and a Lab puppy. About 4 a.m. this morning, I got up to use the bathroom after being awoken by our cat. (He likes to snuggle.) My husband was still fast asleep, along with the other cat. While I was awake, I could hear footsteps downstairs in our house. The dog slept through it, and this is a pup that barks at the sound of a doorbell on TV.

The footsteps eventually stopped; I went back to bed, and fell asleep.

What do you all think?

1. Hey, Missy Vixen...

I just wanted to chime in to say that it seems more and more are having these experiences. I don't have any impressions or "hits" or anything as others will likely have, but it does seem as though there is an uptick in people sharing similar experiences of...oddities.

Perhaps it's that thinning of the veil?

Very interesting.

2. OGR, I was a little weirded out.
The cat has been waking me up every morning anywhere between 4 - 5:30 a.m. for awhile now. He's a big Maine Coon boy who thinks I'm his mother. Obviously, we're up north, so it's not really daylight till about six. I wonder if he hears the same thing, and thinks I need to be awake for this. ;-) As a result, I'm not getting a lot of sleep.

To my immediate knowledge, there's never been a death in our house. The property it's built on was a chicken farm before it was a development.

If whatever's going on in our house is benign, I'm not going to worry about it. We have a friend who's a Wiccan priestess. She blessed the house when we moved in, and there's a witch ball in the corner by the front door. In other words, do we try to talk with the presence and see if they are harmless, or do we leave well enough alone, and chalk it up to the "thinning of the veil" you're talking about?

 to you, too.

3. I'm kicking this so others with this specific insight and wisdom....
can offer their suggestions, Missy Vixen.

If your kitty isn't acting frightened or upset -- and the other babies aren't noticing it -- my first inclination is to feel it's benign, especially since you know the history of your property and had it blessed in the beginning.

Still, I'm not experienced nor knowledgeable about such things, but know others here will have great advice to offer.

I offer more      :hi:

4. Sounds like an energy imprint to me.
The energy of a past time and person that's sort of "replaying" in your space.

Unless, god forbid, you had an intruder in your house last night.

5. The doors were locked
Plus, if someone else was in our house, Moose would have been barking. If he's downstairs in his crate and I'm walking around upstairs, he doesn't bark, but if he sees someone in the yard, etcetera, he goes nuts.

I told my husband last night while we were having dinner. I think he thinks I've lost my mind, but it was so odd, I thought he should know.
